I recently returned from my first trip to Colombia. I met a Colombian girl in St.Maarten, and we kept in touch via msn, email for the past 8 months. We got very close, and of course she wanted to marry me, and bring her to Canada.
So I arranged my trip to spend a week (no amount of time is ever enough) with her and her family, and decide if I wanted to move forward.

I'm going to be spending 6 nights in Cucuta from April 29th-May 5th, and am looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel. And if they spoke english there, that would be a HUGE benefit.
Can anyone lend any advice?

I am a Canadian Citizen looking to move to Cucuta. My spanish is very limited, but I would like to take the oppportunity while I am there to learn the language. I was contemplating teaching english as a means of income. Any other suggestions, and are there many schools in Cucuta?
