Hola Poco...read your comment from GIB's post today... so you live here in Colombia?

"I've extensively remodeled four estrado 2 houses and I live in one of them."

Poco I think it's great that you have helped remodeled these houses..that's awsome as some people in my country truly need it..That's great that you are wearing your Safety Glasses.

Un abrazon,

Hummm, there are comments here !!!! Good thing I found out elmo had a personal thread. Nice ?

That's not me, I'm a white, (well,, tanned), fat gringo and have hired help because of ladder weight limitations. However, I have started a rural ""piece corp"" and have employeed a full time supervisor and various contract workers.

One of my workers,,, working.

hello, poco. just a blurb to say i enjoy your presence on pbh, as well your posts. where are you living there? it's nice to hear the above that you're doin a small scale habitat for humanity, needless to say, colombia needs it. that's how i filled tons of free time in the past, helping some of my rural friends--not rich--fix up their houses/world. i have just about every imaginable tool so with their hands, a little encouragement, some'found' art, wood, etc. we fixed up their digs. lots of folks need that. and the major land owners wouldn't donate a dime to the projects. pity.

well, friend, fill me in on what's up. we're--again---temporarily in exile, as the youngest is in a private catholic school here in florida. don't want her studying in colombia, although she's born there...just that there's zero comparison with colombian and u.s. schools. she wants to study at georgetown univ in wash d.c. at that point, her oldest brother, 43 yrs, can take over being watchdog, and mom and i can go home. ojolla.

all the best,
douglas

Hi Poco, please turn on your ability to receive email so that I may ask you a few questions. You can also write to "expatriate". All I want to know is the area where you live "hours from any city", and can you get high speed internet from there. Thanks. John

Want to know the nice thing about living in this village ???? There are ZERO,, English speaking foreigners. There are a few people from Spain and one Italian. I've asked and NO English speaking foreigners have EVER lived within 50 miles of this place and from what I can know about this town none ever will.
