cheers I get the pic about panama C .....I guess I will just visit then....in terms of medellin all I have to ask on that now is ..are there any gringo sort of areas of cheaper areas than poblado where I will not accost trouble by being there .....etc *note ..does not speak Spanish so yea ...a some what english friendly area would be help full ..or maybe I'm better off going to Jamaica haha ..any thoughts cheers guys

by the way ..are most girls only receptive to guys who speak Spanish or are they good with English speakers....I won't lie a big attraction to Colombia for me is the girls genuine girls that is ..I am by no means a monger

where would you say the best place to live in Medellin is ? like cost wise and safety wise...cbd ? i just wanna have fun ..teach and learn spanish ...pretty my only goals for that year..uhm...it should not be to hard though with out the Spanish to begin with ? like once I start learning it should be good ? ...

Hola guys and thanks for the reply. ...I would ask my friends jimbo but they are a couple of real yahoos and no telling how long they will be posted up in Cartagena for ..Trust me if you knew them you would prefer to have your questions answered by you guys! any more incite in to my inquiries ? In particular (These two are in relation to Cartagena). 4. all though I do not advertise this I do like to party and was wondering what would happen if I was discovered to me holding a small amount of cocaine of marijuana say 5 or 6 grams by police, also what is the best way to avoid and deal with these situations (bribe?) from happening in the first place (apart from not doing drugs)? Thus tips on concealed pockets do they work etc. 5. Also with 20 thousand Australian dollars, will I be able to live comfortably in a city such as Cartagena? e.g. have a nice apartment in town nothing to special but a funky little studio apartment near the beach would do, especially in a city as beautiful as Cartagena, also probably going cloths shopping and clubbing some times on the weekend ...not splashing large amounts of money just enough to live a little above comfortably

"You can get a student visa for 700,000 pesos (1 year) in Medellin which will give u a cedula as well to make things easier. A few people I know here teach at the universities; and the money isnt too bad. " a student visa...as in I can study Spanish or take courses ? ...or ..that will just enable me to work for a year.... "if you are going to party, why bother working?" because I plan on staying in the city man for a year or more...hopefully ..10 grand will be good for setting up with by the sounds of things but I will need to have some income once I get settled

to get a gig teaching at a Uni ..do you have to have any qualifications ? or is a TEFL cert enough plus some prior teaching experience.
