TRAVELER PROFILE

Peter

Activity: 2801 posts, 16662 comments, 104 friends.
Lives in: Belgium Antwerp
Sex: male
Born in: Belgium
Has traveled in: Colombia, Congo, India, Thailand, Laos, Brazil, Bolivia.
Wants to travel to: Everywhere really.
Favourite traveling style: Backpack style! I used to be all about cheap (because you can travel longer with limited funds if you do it cheap), but now sometimes I'll spend money for the "bohemian chic" style, ie. a little splurge. But a beach and a hammock are still the best (apart from the sandflies).
About (hobbies etc...) I like scuba diving, photography, making websites, bicycling, walking. But no time for hobbies!

Peter (Moderator) says on Jun 21, 2007, 01:53:

Hey dwmte7 :) I added you :) Also, if I understand you correctly, to see all your posts, you just click your name and then click on "posts" at the top.. those are all your past posts. Is that what you meant? Yup.

dwmte7 says on Jun 21, 2007, 05:41:

basically, yes. but since i've had numerous names/passwords, the majority of posts going back over 6 years don't show up. how to rectify?

Aha, that's right, I remember now. We still don't have an easy way to join multiple accounts into one. Right now, it's not high on the list unfortunately :) Ask me again in a few months..

Man, what do you gotta do to be Peter's friend around here? Guess making smart ass remarks doesn't qualify.

But I do like the new site.

Hello Peter, I really cheered up when I found PBH, what a terrififc resourse and a great site. Thanks for taking time to drop me a line, I am looking to find work in teaching, I am currently a student with the Open University in the UK, reading International Studies, but I have a few years left to go with them. I want to organise continuing my studies with them while in Colombia, it seems that may not be a problem. I have read on the PBH forum about the possible teaching oppotunities, now I will try and sort something. Thanks again Peter.

Hi Peter, I've been reading through some of the old PBH posts that relate to teaching English in Bogota, I'm a bit confused about it mate. Some reckon the schools don't have enough native speaking teachers and there's no problem finding work while others describe a situation where they struggle to find more than a few hours work a week. Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated, thanks, Mush.

If you need any kind of legal advice or any kind of procedure with the DAS here in Colombia let me know. I have a good lawyer who will help you with whatever you need. Hi Peter - is there any way you can change mi sign-in name?

Lopezv says on Oct 31, 2007, 06:33:

Hi Peter,

I recently joined the PBH Community and I am loving it! The only problem is that I would like to change my username. When I created my account I thought that my username was the one that I was going to use when logging in, not the nickname to appear when posting/replying, etc...

I am not very happy with my username. Will it be possible for you to change it on my behalf, or is it better if I create a new account...

Thanks for your help,

Vicky
