About to do a TEFL course in Peru

Hello All,

My name is Cory and I am a 28 year old black male from Northern California. I am about to embark on what I hope will be a life changing experience. First I am going to Cuzco, Peru to complete my TEFL training, and then off to a teaching position. I am seeking advice from people who can offer some insight about what I should expect as far as obtaining employment and creating this new life for myself. I am a fairly recent college graduate, and I started to work in corporate America when I realized that it was not at all like I had Imagined. I do not have a lot of money, but I honestly feel like the time for me is now if I want to make a change in my life. To all who respond to this post thank you in advance.

Had a girlfriend who had TEFL training of some kind and taught in Cuzco for a year. She loved it. Doesn't pay much at all, but you will learn a lot about another lifestyle. It's cold in Cuzco, but it's a beauftiful and magical place if you ignore all the people selling things on the street. If you want the sales people or beggars to leave you alone I learned that you put out your index finger in front of you belt line or stomach and make like a windshield wiper. they all know that means you're not going to talk to them and then you don't have to converse and explain why you don't want to buy things etc. It works like magic. It's a Peruvian body language thing.

Larry in Seattle for the moment.
