You think.... ...Avianca is bad? I had no problems with them. Actually I found thier staff to be very courtious and helpfull,flight out of LAX delayed an hour but that is not uncommon with any carrier, and I would be confident in saying it was probably more LAX's fault!
Anyway, try Qantas (Qant-ass)..shit service, shit attitude but no crashes...yet. The only reason Qantas is so profitable and survives...PROTECTED ROUTES...no competition. Thier per seat profit on the pacific route is much more than for the asian routes. Who do they compete with in the pacific?...United..enough said. I have even started talking about thier domestic operations!!!!

Thanks Nick... I appreciate it. I fear there is no recovery from this monumentally stupid error.Every day I lose it at some stage and cry my heart out for her.I have never felt so much passion and devotion for a woman..with every inch of my mind,heart,body & soul. Even just the thought of her smile brings me to my knees.

My biggest fear...I will never love like this again.

I let a brief moment of anger based on false impressions get to me.

Now Im paying the biggest price for that..losing the woman I want to share my life and have a family with.

my beautiful paisa and I have parted ways after my 2nd visit, the intentions of which were of the most romantic kind. Now I find myself with the realisation that she was sleeping with someone else even while I was there!!! So much for all the beautiful online chats and emails. I guess I just didn't see it coming...just her friends said. Lesson learnt...TRUST YOUR GUT FEELING!!!...it was there, I just kept wanting the romantic dream I thought I had found with the girl I wanted to marry. You know the stupid thing...I still love her.

PP...it's simple.. I'm an Aussie who has travelled EXTENSIVELY throughout the world. I have seen & experienced other cultures and places that are fantastic (including Colombia). But there is one thing that an Aussie realises after international travel...Australia, even for the problems it too has, is simply the best country in the world to live!!!

great to hear you got your Colombiano! I am leaving in 3 weeks to see my girlfriend again in Medellin...and ask her parents' permission to marry her! Can't wait!
This time I am flying Per-Bri-LAX-Vegas-LAX-Bog-Mde..having a 'boys week' in Vegas for my mate's stag night.
However my preferred route is via Miami as there is a direct flight with AA from Miami to Medellin and...it's another excuse to visit my fave city MIAMI!!!

my story...I met my colombian girl online 17 months ago.I had a general idea where Colombia was and so did my research.Anyway,we developed a relationship to the pooint I travelled there t meet her...from Australia!! Trust me...yoi cannot travel further on this planet! Anyway, it was a gut feeling of instinct that made me think 'nothing ventured,nothing gained'.Let me tell you it was the best decision of my life.I met my lover,my soul mate,my best friend.I am returning to Colombia in a couple of months to make the biggest decision of my life..proposal.

My advice to any Aussie looking for love is to check out Colombia, it is a beautiful country and the people are great. What you hear in the media about Colombia....most of it is crap. People should check it out for themselves and they will be pleasantly surprised. And trust me, you will fall in love...with the country and with a Colombian!!

my Colombian girlfriend lives in Medellin, I live in Perth. We have known each other since March 05. I finally visited her in Medellin in April 06 and although we had fallen in love over the net, when we finally met at Maria Cordova airport we had a natural, instant attraction..now I truly know the meaning of the song "I new I loved you before I met you". Anyway, I am returning to Medellin in November to ask her father permission to marry her. Meanwhile, we have been sifting thru all the immigration info...we have decided to get her a student visa so she can get a qualification here (1 year post grad course).But I can't help wondering how difficult a prospective marriage visa would be to get.We've heard some nightmare stories like up to 2 years!!! Does that seem right? By the way...Oriana...te amo con todo mi corazon. XXX
