Ok, I liked it only because it made me think and feel. Frustration and disgust.
Acting - I found Catalina Sandino Moreno's acting superb. Oscar quality...yeah..why not?
The Blanca character was perfect. She convinced me she was an idiot. But the Fernando charcter, the guy looked like he was reading from CUE cards, shitty acting.
With that said, the reason most of my family despised this movie was their feeling the movie was overhyped. This may be true. ...

I just got an PM from a certain ColombianoX. He goes out of his way to call me a "coconut" and a "colombiano Chivado".
This is further evidence of the social resentment, racism and prejudice that permeates with some on this board.
Why is it if I was born, raised and educated in America and of Colombian heritage that I am neither?

Colombia is destined to always be in internal strife unless one side is beaten...crushed.
We need to take a side. I find the AUC just as evil as the FARC in some respects but I think we can get a better deal siding with one devil over the other.

Broadband / Banda Ancha in Barranquilla
I may very well be able to tele commute from my job in the following months. I am greatly considering moving to Barranquilla where most of my family lives although I was born in the states and raised here.
My biggest concern is broadband access in Barranquilla. Anyone know their reliability and cost?
