Not Sure if it is before or after "The Volcano" be sure to take a camera as the Sombrero is a great foto. Don't forget "El Corral" for a burger. Where do you stay in Cart. I have family there but have stayed at The Caribe Hilton and The Cameron.

pbthekid comments on Colombia Govt, Pvt Cos To Invest $24.6B In Infrastructure After visiting my family in Barranquilla over the Holidays, I was amazed at the amount of trash laying in the streets and empty lots in various communities. Some of the streets were badly in need of repair and some needed to be graded and paved! There is a great amount of residential apartment housing activity going on, but there needs to be an effort made to increase awareness in sanitation and infrastucture. Hopefully some of these funds$$$ will find there way there.

There own Company wouldnt come to their aide. A retired E-9 I work with was in Colombia as a "Advisor"??, but refuses to tell me his missions or reason to be there. He was a "Tunnel Rat" with the Green Berets in "Nam" I wonder what he did in Colombia?????

I watched a Full 1 hr documentary last year taken after there capture where they admiited spraying the Coca fields and talking about their capture and the loss of 2-3 members of their crew in a fire fight with the Farc. Tell me The size of the plane that holds 5-6 people? Does it take 5-6 men to map out a section??? If you think that the US has no active involement, ask who put the bullet in Escobar's ear.

They were part of "Plan Colombia", spraying Chemicals on suspected Coca Plantations to kill the Coca plants. Does anyone know what collateral damge this action might cause?? We did the same thing in Vietnam, they called it "Agent Orange" Contractors??? try "Mercs". Please understand I do not support the FARC or PARAs, just the people and the Villages that are caught in this mess.

I am a Gringo with a latin heart and I am married to a "Bogotana" with a huge family. Mami y Papi too. What a joy they all are to me!!!! I am planning to move to Bogota in the spring of 09. We have a Flat there very near Zona Rosa. but I would like to live in Lacalara. with some of the family. I was there for Christmas and have many fotos of the Lights of 93 and the National park Bolivar Square. The Music at the end of the Andes clip is performed by "Putumayo" from there CD. Katsada I saw them perform at the International Craft Fair. this year they are great!!! I'm a fan!!!! We have 2 Auntie who live in Pasto and mi Papi is from Pasto.. Food is good and the Rest. on the 22nd or 23 floor is great. however a better value to go to the Caribe Hilton in Boca Grande, the servce is great, food good, Beaches with peddlers with "armanni sun glasses" sure (sic). Go to the La Popa, the Fort, Santo Domingo Sguare on Sat Nite.

Watch out for the peddlers on the beach, the all sell "Armani Sun glasses", Sure they do JAJAJA. The best 4 days for me.

My wife is a Bogotana, and My Son-in-Law is from Cartagena as is his parents. The Pretalts. I am planning to finish my life in Colombia very soon. I feel the country is still way behind in The U S culture which is a good thing!!! I hate to see the big "Box Stores" such as Walmart and others come to Colombia and destroy the little business people. They are the heart and soul of Colombia!!!. The Colombians are kind hearted people who have been much maligned by Hollywood in there films. Some one should do a documentary on the real Colombia! My brother in Laws could help them as they are in that industry. Thanks for the fotos of the real Colombia!!!
