What's going on with page 2 of the active list?

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of posts from a very long time ago are showing up on page 2. And they have not even been resurrected by new comments. WHat gives? Is there a problem that I'm not aware of? PdA ...

Good Restaurants in Santa Marta/Rodadero

Reading the thread about the restaurants that are in Medellin, I got kind of jealous. I know that Medellin is much larger than Santa Marta but I would think that Santa Marta should have some very nice restaurants as well. Do any of you know of any particularly note-worthy restaurants in the area? I'm headed there in May and would certainly like something other than the grab and run food that I seem to find. PdA ...

How can I buy a landline

When I was in Santa Marta recently, I went to Telecom to install a landline. They said that there were out of numbers and did not know how long it would be before they would have any new numbers to give out. Normally, I would have just said WTF and ask how they couldn't have any numbers but I have lived in other countries where the same thing has happened. I found out later, what normal people do to get around this situation is to purchase landlines from someone who has one that they do no ...

I support Kiva.org, which makes microloans available to entreprenuers throughout the developing world. I am curios to know if any has heard of anything similar in Colombia. What is the Spanish idiom?

I was talking to a friend and she said something in Spanish that I understood to mean "If you travel the road you will get to the end." The sense that I got from the phrase was akin to the english idiom "Good things come to they who wait". I am at a level of Spanish where I don't translate literally as much as I rely more on the sense/context of the conversation. I cannot recall the exact words but I think that the word "carerra" or "carretera" was used in the expression. Any ideas. PdA ...

Making International Calls from Colombia

When I was in Colombia in July. I tried to call to the US with my Sprint cellphone and also with my TIGO cellphone. When it became urgent, I went to a call center to make the call. What are the codes that have to be dialed so that a call can be made to the US? PdA ...

What should I do for overnight connection through Bogota

I'm returning to the US from Santa Marta on July 31. I will travel from Santa Marta and arrive in Bogota at 10:45pm. My connecting flight is at 7:45am on August 1. Any suggestions for a nearby hotel. It seems a bit too long to just hang out in the airport. What has anyone else done? ...
