Thats kind of expensive or I am out of touch..Paying 815000 for a two bedroom right up the street from Hotel Belfort in Castropol..Two Bedrooms Two Full Baths plus utilities/internet/cable...Total: 1091041COP..I did have to buy my own furniture which I wanted anyways, a fridge, and lavadora.. 10 minute walk to Parque Llares or Parque Poblado. I was paying 780,000 for the same apartment a year ago but they raised the rent by that damn percentage they allow. Really thinking of moving on July 25th..out of Poblado(Castropol) to a lower estrada..

I really think there are disorganized and organized paramilitary groups alive...His point was he wanted to bring out was that the paramilitary is alive...and not everybody demobilized with the pardon Uribe gave a few years back. I don't know but there has been some assinations in the last two months in Medellin of some mid level narcos....in which I would say para military was involved hiring sicarios... Now were those people he interviewed real who knows maybe only the street thug gang in Cartegena...Interesting though to see ex paramilitary in school trying to change there lives..

If you purchased today...What probably happened is that Spirit CC System probably authorized the card twice but probably will only post one of the authorizations to your card..Happened with Avianca but Avianca only posted one of the authorizations as a charge but your Credit Card Provider cannot do anything until the charge posts and cannot drop authorizations without the vendor calling in to drop the auth....or it will automatically drop after a few days if the vendor does not close out that authorization....I am sure I will take Spirit's FLL-MDE route if that gets started...Great rates don't care if I have to stand up in General Seating....as long as the plane can fly normal...into MDE>>>>>

Well I must be a lucky guy right now.....met somebody in Medellin...not over the internet nor one of my nights on the paid route...actually it was night a I took a break and went out for a few drinks with a couple of guys and ending up meeting somebody..and shot off from there..That night I actually was going for a few drinks then go to sleep..but you know what happens when it is not expected and was spending alot of time in Medellin.. Remember its all about the whole package now.......everywhere.....and who says Gringos have more money than many Colombianos...Dude I see many in nice cars, have nice apartments..now...in Medellin..I actually have a good relationship going and is turning out not bad...for both of us...and things are working out...in Medellin and Miami back and forth..Lets see another year goes maybe get married who knows..She works in Medellin(normal job) and I work in Miami and we both split the bills like a normal couple..but lets see..Goals is to have a place in Miami and Medellin...so we can go back and forth..Many Colombians do the same now a place in Colombia and Miami...some work in Miami and the other works in Colombia...vice versa.. But anyways...Girls are the same everywhere outside of the prepago environment.Inside the prepago world..then it is a mutual business agreement between the two parties..like a vendor and client.

I had many problems with this....but learning.. One of my favorites which is not the best for many is that I like Skirt Steak on a barbacue and I finally found out its carne fajita(faja)..usually made with fajitas..but I like to marinate and put on the grill.....Usually here in Florida you can find it packaged up already but I could not find in Medellin until I found out the spanish name for it...and asked the butcher....

Blue Marlin walking distance for me in Castropol...Not bad...Near Lomo's...Actually Las Palmitas tropical drinks are not that bad anymore use to be horrible but there making good mixed drinks but the food could be better... Woo Hoo on my way to Washington Mutual...... Miami-Dade County has been my town since 1985 and has changed dramatically I wish I could go back to the late eighties sitting in the Grove or in the Keys was awesome...Now man..its so crowded I remember going down 95 and there was no traffic jams...S.Beach was just starting on Ocean Drive with Penrods with there Y-100 Concerts.. Washington Avenue not yet..Sunny Isles was great with low end ancient motels..FBH was at its original still...now FBH is gone its now owned by somebody from Dubai and its now Fontainebleu Resorts...The cubans were still in Little Habana along with Roberts Drugs in Vietnam section now they all moved into Hialeah...Miami River had my favorite fish joint now is some huge tourist ripoff..Calle Ocho in the Eighties was awesome now it sucks..turned into marketing festival instead of a festival of good times of drinking, snorting and dancing..well alittle and was very acceptable back then in the streets of Calle Ocho JAJAJAJAJAJ...Won't get into that...Mayfair was kicking in the Grove...Orange Bowl was alive now thats gone...I am 38 now and just not happy here anymore except my job is an industry that is good here...Ahhh Forget Steves Pizza in North Miami use to be the best now that area went to hell.....Islamoroda was the bomb...Man o mighty...only locals...from Miami were going down on Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend many times sleeping on top of my car with friends......Ah just remembered East Coast Fisheries on the Miami River before it came a tourist rip off..The damn crackers and crab and nice Snapper and cold beer on the Miami River....Seems like right after Hurricane Andrew everything started going down hill funny... Miami is full of tourists like crazy now and transit people.....Good Times are Gone..... Ahhhh Tootsies was the best strip hole but now is built to a fancy stripclub...I liked how it was before... Miami only working now mostly and free time in Medellin and won't move because I like the easy access to Medellin but you know what I have to give credit to Miami learned and lived the Latin Culture and learned alot by being here many years....and know many latin people and families here along in the South America and happy for that... Miami IS NOT THE SAME ANYMORE...anybody who knows what I am talking about can vouch..... Damn I wrote alot ...I am shutting up...

Thanks Robi I was wondering about that too.....but luckily my outgoing mail server with atlanticbb.net allows me to send emails with there outgoing mailserver outside of there network.....with UNE which is strange...but works..Most internet providers you cannot use there outgoing mail server to send emails outside of there network because of spam problems..Lately I am not using outlook anymore just using web applications....hotmail,company web mail, and atlantic broadband webmail application....

Bogota should be cheaper....Medellin has that new Lan route..Maybe there is a promotion going on for the new route with LAN out of Medellin....See if there is LAN Office now in MDE and talk to them directly....Maybe if you call the LAN Miami US office and pay in dollars that will make a difference don't know instead of Pesos...maybe the conversion from a LAN office in Colombia does not give you a good exchange rate.. Who knows throwing some ideas out..

Oh well need to deal with MIA every two weeks still and my three airlines Copa,Avianca, and American...Who every I can grab specials from...which is a battle between the three my problem is noticing that MDE-PTY flight is always full...the connection in Panama....with Copa/Aero Republica...that daily night flight out of Panama.. I think many Colombians are going to Panama alot for vacation or shopping...

Well I have not left yet...Miami Dade County...Has changed but so use to it here doesn't bother me anymore...Still have my same job for now 11 years and lived in Miami Dade for 23 years but I tell ya its probably the most transit city I have seen in a long time I swear...New graduates or couples come here to move and work and they leave within a year. Not complaining though it is my easy access to Medellin.....and a short flight. I hear many people in Medellin talk about going to New York and New Jersey more than Miami...though.. For newcomers this town is tough to make it...Miami Mike will vouch for that..

Well with fuel once fuel reserves run out for the airline there in big trouble like Southwest there reserves are gone now and paying current prices for fuel..Spirit must have a heavy supply of reserves to keep prices low along with Air Tran....but once that runs out...they will have no other choice but to raise prices...I would really like to know how the fuel purchasing agents for the airlines price out fuel... for future business..

Have UNE 1MB Cable connection and my Vonage works great....One thing you have to remember in Colombia...If it says 1MB that means speed within the colombian internet .co and connecting to international websites or servers has been terrible at times..but has been improving...If the international connection goes down than Vonage goes down....Also drop the speed alittle when connecting to international servers... The 2MB 3MB and 4MB service in Medellin to rich for my blood..

PTY is the worst...Its a big shopping mall with a little cafeteria..and no smoking rooms or bars..Best bet is Copa Air via Panama City as a connection with Aero Republica...if you don't want to go to MIA..unless your in San Andres than fly Avianca or Aero Republica from there...
