I went to a doctor in Clinica Las Vegas who was a little clueless about malaria pills. All that she offered was Aralen (a type of chloroquine), but that's no good for the leticia region according to http://www.fitfortravel.scot.nhs.uk/destinations/colombia.htm#colombmalaria . I need Atovaquone/proguanil or doxycycline or mefloquine - anyone know where I can pick some up in Medellin? Cheers. ...
Almost everywhere along Colombia's (mainland - I'm not talking about the islands) Caribbean coast seems to have rather murky brown waters - or certainly the entire section of the coast I've visited from Cartagena East to La Guajira (with the notable exception of Park Tayrona, which is quite beautiful). Why? It's sediments from rivers I assume? Have I been unlucky with the time of the year I've visited and the water clarity? I just went to Dibulla (near Riohacha). That place would be amazi ...

Just looking for a few decent restaurant suggestions in Medellin. I'm quite a fan of La Fragata (next to Park 10 Hotel) - great seafood, and Ron de Vinola (up the hill in Poblado) - the best steak I've had in Colombia. Also food deliviery companies. For pizza I use Archie's but I'm sure there must be a better option. What about a decent chinese delivery? ...
