nueva york bombero comments on Cartagena and Colombia: First Impression I was there this month last year....I took a friend (gringo) and we had a great time!!! Cartagena is one of those magical places. There are plenty of cheaper, "no frills" places to eat with great food, even in the walled city. Just look around......

nueva york bombero comments on Accommodation in Medellin? Brian's Tiger Paw in Poblado is perfect. I've stayed there a few times and it is safe, comfy, and close enough to everything. Private rooms or dorm. style is available. I'll be back there soon for sure.....
nueva york bombero comments on What Do You Hate About Colombia? I hate Colombia right now because I'm stuck in Freezing NY!!! Damn u Colombia!!!

nueva york bombero comments on Super beach near(ish) Barranquilla: Santa Veronica Thank you! I like the looks of this beach (Santa Veronica). I'd like to try and hit up some of these obscure beaches next trip.... There was one far west of Cartagena that looked nice.
nueva york bombero comments on Super beach near(ish) Barranquilla: Santa Veronica My little beach on Long Island....
nueva york bombero comments on Super beach near(ish) Barranquilla: Santa Veronica Better than this beach on the pacific side of Colombia......
nueva york bombero comments on Colombia and Chile Does everybody smoke in Santiago??? Thats how it seemed when I was there..... Cool place, but Colombia offers more.
nueva york bombero comments on Colombia's unspoilt island idyll Can you island hop or too far from San Andres?? If so, how much??
nueva york bombero comments on Is it OK to drive from Barranquilla to Bucaramanga? Is it scenic at all? Anybody got pics?? Any good stops along the way? Why so much traffic???
nueva york bombero comments on What is the cheapest airline / flight to the US from Bogota, Colombia and which cities do these flights go? SPIRIT SPIRIT SPIRIT Get on their list for emails and book some $9 flights..... I went to both Medellin and Cartagena for next to nothing! They fly out of Fort Lauderdale to Bogota and have also added Armenia. Good Luck.......
nueva york bombero comments on A heartwarming story Elmo!!!! I'd think twice about my girlfriend, wife, sister, mother, daughter, etc. being examined by a gynecologist named Dr. Hamburger!
nueva york bombero comments on Payless shoes opening in Santa Marta Payless is SHIT!!! The only tme I bought a pair of shoes there was when I was 16 years old and a busboy in a restaurant. I was too broke to afford anything else and they were work shoes. Horrible!
nueva york bombero comments on Manizales - Chinchina Autolujo?? I was there recently and no problems to report. Travel was easy too. And damn cheap!!! Pronounce it right though. Locals dont light up with excitement when u say their town's name wrong!
nueva york bombero comments on Hey any PBHers currently in Chicago... try medellintraveler....he's from Chi-town and he's got some great stories.....
nueva york bombero comments on FERIA DE LAS FLORES 2009 - FLOWER FESTIVAL (MEDELLIN 2009) Last year's Feria was out of control! The horse parade by far was the best! You gotta get in the mix and jump into the parade. I was given a horse to ride by a young, healthy paisa. Good times!!!
nueva york bombero comments on Cartagena Yo is that you with the Zips on ????? They look like adidas, but when you look closer...not so much!!! I had the same pair!!!
nueva york bombero comments on My trip to Taganga and Playa Grande (pics) These pics make me want to go back now!!! And btw a boatride from Taganga to the beach is a much better option. Save your energy for more important activities!!
nueva york bombero comments on Hostel and "Motel" or just Motel? I agree with Mike. A private room in a hostel is the way to go these days. You have privacy and the liveliness of the hostel. I've done it all over Colombia.
nueva york bombero comments on FERIA DE FLORES MEDELLIN Yeah, I'm in your neck of the woods once in a while. I've got a good friend on 29th and 2nd. I'm off to a bachelor party in Atlantic City Monday and Tuesday, then firehouse Wed. Let me know when you clowns are headin to the village, I'd love to shoot the shit..... Otherwise, I'm always in Long beach these days......
nueva york bombero comments on FERIA DE FLORES MEDELLIN Yo U crazy modefoquer!!! All good here....u??? When we goin for cervezas?
nueva york bombero comments on SPIRIT Airlines sucks!!!! I've booked many flights with Spirit and not a single problem thus far..... You just have to know what to expect. Hint: keep your expectations low!!!
nueva york bombero comments on FERIA DE FLORES MEDELLIN Last years Feria was amazing!!! The horse parade on Saturday was the best day. Ended the day in Sabaneta with friends from NY and Medellin. And some new friends.......
nueva york bombero comments on San Pedro - A Nice Getaway From Medellin Nice Pics!!!! I'll check it out next time I'm in the area....... Thanks!
nueva york bombero comments on Buy Intercountry Airfare in Colombia or Online? I have booked air tickets through vayama and sidestep and got free flights inside Colombia to other cities. Most recently, I purchased travel from NY to Cali, then cali to Cartagena, Barranquilla to NY. The cali to cartagena flight was free. I'd check all the flight sites to see deals. I say Spirit still has the best prices, but you've got to be flexible and travel on Tuesday or Wednesdays......
nueva york bombero comments on Is this an aggressive or possible schedule for 8 days? It sounds like you're squeezing too much into a short time. 8 days is barely enough for one place. You could squeeze the coast into 8 days. 3 or 4 days in Cartagena, then 4 or 5 days in Santa Marta and Tayrona. Good Luck!
nueva york bombero comments on Toros en Cali The peak season is December - January in Cali. I was there 2 years ago and it was exciting. A lot of energy and everyone dressed their best. I'm not sure when there are other expedition bullfights during the year. Others here will know.......
nueva york bombero comments on GREAT LAND ON LA PINTADA - INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY Great looking house and property!! Nice area too! I liked this visit when I traveled there last year. What's the ball park price?
nueva york bombero comments on Santa Marta Hotels I stayed here and the price is right. But it's a little short on "decent middle class" status. The pool is big enough for your dog to wash in, but not clean enough when I was there. I read there were bedbugs biting guests, but who knows?!? I personally would stay here again, but I need a hotel room in Colombia for 2 things; to crash and to shower! Oh, and the shower in the room is ice cold! If u shower out in the pool area, it's warmer. Good Luck!!!!
nueva york bombero comments on Medellin I love the outskirts of Medellin (countryside). I've been all over and never an ounce of trouble.
nueva york bombero comments on youre right!! I do owe u an empanada y gaseosa.....cuando tu quieres.......

nueva york bombero comments on Highlights of Villa de Leyva in Colombia (video) It works.....looks interesting..... maybe I will plan it for next trip...... 5 hours outside of Bogota???
nueva york bombero comments on advice from people that live here I'm totally confused!!! What's this thread about again?!?! Chives?
nueva york bombero comments on Santo Domingo's Children Seek Help MT You glory hound! What's next..... a key to the city???
nueva york bombero comments on Cali Day Trips Take her to the Zoo Rock....I heard retards like the zoo!! Or the bullfights, though this time of year it's probably empty..... San Cipriano looks nice!!!
nueva york bombero comments on Santo Domingo's Children Seek Help I've met and hung out with MT. He is genuine and not a scam artist. His interests in Medellin, I believe, are pure and true. Late night is another story though!!! Great Effort MT!! I wish I were there to help. I've done this same thing there and it fealt great. Money can't buy this kind of feeling.
nueva york bombero comments on Drugs in Cartagena I was going to chime in, but I knew people would be all over u!!!! I've heard it's easy.
