nine inch nails comments on Colombia - recession finally biting? No not that part of CC San diego, the mall part! jajajajaja
nine inch nails comments on Colombia - recession finally biting? Yeah Medellin back in May when I visited C.C. San Diego thought it might have been because of the Holiday the next or following day but seemed very empty to me compared to past visits. Or maybe because the new Premium Plaza seemed to be doing very good. Too many new malls built in the major CO cities and the recession combined like a double whammy.

nine inch nails comments on Airline pricing - am I missing something?! I don't think I would discard the return ticket or if you ever "RETURN" back to Europe they might really hassle you from a security viewpoint. Lots of databases and lists being kept these days for anything abnormal (think 9-11 islamafascists buying only 1 way tickets). This fare structure may be about security more than anything. Also is this trip anywhere near the holidays? Even RTs more expensive. If you can fly out of FLL and don't mind overnighting Spirit Air does sell one way tickets and is adding more CO flights.

nine inch nails comments on Cartagena this weekend (Nov 13) oh that sounds like so much fun. wish I could go but currently lesionado. have fun for me pretty boyz and girlz! will they have any "cons" cheerleaders like from The Longest Yard movie? They were so cute! my hidden fetish (hahaha).

nine inch nails comments on 14 year old girl shot 3 times in the head leaving school "ARMY BASES " and scream Allujah Akbar as they murder. They found some business cards in his apartment with SoA written on the credentials list under his name. SoA = Soldier of Allah!!

nine inch nails comments on Iberia/BA article from CNBC Go Ryanair and other similar airlines! I flew Easyjet once intra-Europe and was impressed.
nine inch nails comments on Iberia Strikes In the end AA will get you there but a lot of chance for delays I do agree. Iberia I believe uses same plane then on to BOG from MIA? one time my AA flight to CR was more tardy than the flight time itself and another AA to Managua almost as late as the flight time itself!! Will say this though that I went to Argentina didn't have to worry about Aerolineas going on strike (AGAIN). The longer flights (UK, Espain, Argentina, Chile etc. all on AA) I didn't have many delays but the shorter routes to central and SOUTHAM yes I did on AA!!!
nine inch nails comments on Iberia Strikes Yeah I agree AA has the absolute worst "on-time" performance but they have never cancelled a flight on me or denied me entry to board as Avianc did. This "OH Another thing is when you flight Iberia or Air France, your check your luggage at heathrow and they'll go straigh to Bogota. If you flight via the USA you have go and to pick your luggage and take to this place where they will put it on your conecting flight." is a MAJOR bene and I would seriously consider it too if coming from outside US. I think AA good for when MIA or FLL is your point of departure rather than a way point. But whatever airline is chosen I always like to get the connecting flight on the same airline (or code share agreement) in case the inbound is late then they are responsible for my delay costs. travel insurance relative low cost can help too. Some dont know but AA has flights to Colombia from FLL also and is connected by the Tri-rail however if you have a lot of bags to drag around is not fun.

nine inch nails comments on Iberia Strikes I sorry Kat, everyone has their prefs! Any other routes like say thru Italy or Switzerland??
nine inch nails comments on Iberia Strikes I like mami (miami) and tons of Colombains working in the airport kat that could look out after your bebe girl.
nine inch nails comments on U.S. and Colombia bases deal signed, but what are the real intentions? There's an article in Monday's AM Costa Rica where we (US) are trying to set up some more bases in Panama also. Intersting read: http://www.amcostarica.com/monday.htm Colombia, Panama, CR all pretty close to one another more or less from a military standpoint.
nine inch nails comments on Iberia Strikes Wow 8 days is a long airstrike. Kat I know you had asked about airlines for daughter earlier. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Some items from the article that caught my attention: "lay-offs of all cabin attendants older than 55" - that is harsh, they really do age discriminate in Europe. "...from an expanding bullet train service." - I did take this one time in Spain (The Talga I think). Very clean and efficient not to mention cost savings Iberia is having competition with.
nine inch nails comments on Aires FLL - BOG Flights Begin Nov. 25th That'a neat, the more competition the better. I see they are planning other routes as well.

nine inch nails comments on Invest 20 millones de Pesos to receive 3% or 600,000 per month? Oh 3% per month! Really be careful if it sounds too good to be true that's like 36%/yr. Could be another one of those super risky investments or scams like from the guy in my Avatar (shock).
nine inch nails comments on Invest 20 millones de Pesos to receive 3% or 600,000 per month? I don't know. I'd rather only receive 2-2.5% in FDIC insured CDs than risk the little extra in something tied into a house. Plus they think interest rates will go up 6-12 months by the Fed. so even if only 2-2.5% to start if you laddered your funds could keep trading up the interest rate chain as they go up (must go up from here 0%).

nine inch nails comments on More military comming to Colombia...Curfew needed only 3-4 hours daylight in December...
nine inch nails comments on More military comming to Colombia...Curfew needed OFYM, Iceland is a rad. place and I tryed to enjoy it but every chance I got I was on a plane outta there to somewhere in europe like Spain so sunny and nice! I never made it to Akureyri but did make it up into the northwestern most fjords which was really cool. I loved to snow ski when I was there and most people don't realize unless they lived there that yes in Iceland esp. the southwest not always that much snow due to moderate temps. even in winter +/- 2 grados, only colder if a cold front off of Greenland. So Akureyri was the place to go for better skiing.
nine inch nails comments on More military comming to Colombia...Curfew needed When I was stationed in Iceland 96-97 there was no curfew although at times as OFYM mentioned yes one was in place but not constant. Was on and off depending on how well or bad the tropas behaved. And yes most Icelanders suspect of military (special name in their language for it "Banderriken"). The only exception was the small town right outside the base (Keflavik) where since base was so close they tolerated us. Also most of the civilians who had very good jobs on base (many fine ones I worked with) were very pleasant and hospitable. And yes the place (Iceland) was and proly still is pretty heavy communist. One night/early day out saw them with the red sicle and hammer flag waving it around.

nine inch nails comments on translate title of tecnologo in English technologia (spanish)?? didn't see tecnologa in my dictionary.

nine inch nails comments on The Pablo Escobar theme park: Former home of Colombian drug lord is turned into bizarre tourist attraction I wanted to make post of this earlier. This was in all the media on Wednesday here in US also. Did any of you see it? On Foxnews Steve Harrigan (short little guy who spent a lot of time in Afghan and Iraq) was reporting from downtown Bogota. Cool. They said 50,000 tourists per year go there.

nine inch nails comments on Breaking News: Anyone Have Reletives in Orlando? Massive Shooting with Dead& Wounded Downtown is so strange I just happen to be modifying one of their (RS&H's) Engineering studies right now and I have stayed many times at the Sheraton next door to the office building. Dear Lord, Please get me home safe from work today!

nine inch nails comments on I just can't beleive how cheap are plane tickets are in Colombia So Tasco you got that deal by also purchasing a hotel stay with the airfare?
nine inch nails comments on Buses Medellin -Peru So 56 hrs. +/- plus lodging costs inbetween unless you can and like to sleep on the buses 56 hrs. straight. My ass would get tired after every 18 hrs. alone. So how much time would the trans-national buses take and the extra costs maybe could offset the 2-3 nights lodging in-between? Peru is a gold mine as far as things to see and do Miss J. Might I suggest the Peru section here or even better www.expatperu.com, Lonely Planet etc. to start. So much cool Archealogical stuff Incas and all that. Some places they don't even speak Spanish pure Indian dialects. Neat and very diverse country.
nine inch nails comments on Pereira, Colombia Also COPA/Aerorepublica has a flight to Pereira from Panama City and Aires Air has BOG-PEI route. you get a cheap RT to BOG then maybe intra-country a decent fare, just watch the connections etc.
nine inch nails comments on Pereira, Colombia Platinum/N2techno, Thought your pict looked familiar. Have a blast in Pereira bro. Im going back down la Costa (Rica) next wk. for a few days R&R. CO maybe in Jan. or Feb. Check flights out of JFK, FLL, Orlando and Atlanta also. May save some more money. Ultra music fest. Miami just around the corner. Jester/CRT
nine inch nails comments on travel to colombia Although distance may be more may save a couple hundred US or so if you fly thru MIA. MEX also to Panama City on Copa then Copa goes to the big cities in Colombia.
nine inch nails comments on travel to colombia From Miami/FLL are the best fares to Colombia. Now JetBlue also has non-stop from Orlando. This time of year though the airfares all really high. Major airlines: Avianca of course, American Now Spirit out of FLL. All have direct flights to either Bogota, Medellin or Cartagena and starting soon Spirit to Armenia (Eje cafetero region). Mexico city first proly to Bogota then can catch a regional to the other cities (Aerorepublica or Avianca).
nine inch nails comments on Beautiful images of Colombia. Very nice LZ and your new avatar not too shabby either! ha NIN
nine inch nails comments on Airman among 6 slain at club: Medic shot trying to give victim aid Yeah the Air Force warned them against going but guys will do guy things, shouldn't be executed for it. At least in Colombia they for the most part leave the patrons out of the killings.
nine inch nails comments on The Days Before the Gringo Invassion You can still go many tourist places in this world and not see another one of your countrymen even in Costa Rica!
nine inch nails comments on Halloween In Colombia (Pictures) Is nice to see a lot of the costumes home made and/or orginal. So tired off all the packaged up crap for sale in the US around Halloween time. I did see 3 guys dressed up as "Ghostbusters" in downtown West Palm and what made them unique is they made from scratch with wood their GB backpacks replete with lighting (one small blue panel light) and 4 large red energized power lights! Neat!

nine inch nails comments on crazy shooting on bus in medellin that sucks about life being so cheap but is the truth OFYM.

nine inch nails comments on Colombia, U.S. sign deal on use of bases; October 30, 2009 3:57 p.m. EDT This just in, reeeeally fresh!
nine inch nails comments on crazy shooting on bus in medellin Isn't Aguas Frias one of the metro stations near Oviedo? jajaja Worzel; Medellin - Bethlehem some journey. jajaja
nine inch nails comments on crazy shooting on bus in medellin that's why it just makes good sense to pack heat when you can esp. have one of the judge .410 bebes readily available. they aint gonna fok with you when you squeeze out a few .410 shotgun shells from that self defense Judge pistol The great thing about the judge also is that the shot disperses rapidly making it not so much a danger to others. Yeah might hurt the neighbors a little but if the thief gets in close say under 25' and he don't expect it well you just might have saved your life. And it is sad about the guards but they should build up more layers of defense (think concrete barriers or otherwise, panels anything that protects them) and when the criminal gets beyond a certain point the guard can fire from a protected position. God-damn I should start up a Defensive Facilities Consultation business down there. All about layered defense baby. If they can shield stationary buildings from huge megaton truck bombs in Iraq and Afghan then they can do it down in CO! Granted not everyone can afford it but 2-3 per large apartment building doable. These criminals kinda like the Al Quedas in that they go after the softer targets. I know some of the facilities down Medelling and CO already have some of this protective layer stuff. Now who gonna win Game 3?
