Thanks for your answers.Ok the problem is that in the tourist agencies they ask like 1,5 milions pesos just for 1 person for 5 days!With these money i could go to the best resort in San Andres island.So how could i do it for me and my girlfriend just for 1000?But do i have to fly to get there or there is a bus?Does it worth it to go by bus (if there is) or i need to take a flight from Medellin?Can i do some of the coast and also Gorgona island with this money?Would it be dangerous to cary cameras?Is it safe?Would i find normal hotel in reasonable prices or everything is dirty and crap?Do i need to make a reservation in advance or i could get more options and better prices when i get there?If i fly where is better Nuqui or Bahia Solano or Gorgona island?Or i could fly to Gorgona take a ship to Bahia Solano or Nuqui visit tambien one of these places and after take a flight back from Nuqui or Bahia Solano to Medellin?Which company? So which would be the best solution?If anybody of you have traveled recently there and can propose a good and cheap plan i would be more than pleased to read it.Gracias!

Papichulo: those Colombians that have the money to buy these buildings they have enough to invest to construction, i believe, so that they can "clear" the black money they made through the drugs.. but anyway i didn't gut the meaning of what did you say about the Israelis.Can you be more clear?If they can make it why not we?

Are you guys living here or what?Why you are so sarcastic and unhelpful? First of all the Colombians doesn't have any capital to start a business and secondly they don't have any experience in the tourism area since Medellin just now start to be a touristic destination.And listen to that. 2 Israelis open a hostel 1 year ago with a capacity of 30 people and they are going well.They have more visitors every month and they make around 4.000$ evry month clear.Doesn't seem so bad for a start and for an investing of 25.000$, doesn't? A and don't forget!I enjoy my 6 month vacation here cause of my successful business i opened back to my country.And don't ask me why i don't make the same here cause the cultures are to different and cause of other reasons as well. Please i would prefer to hear something clever if there are any clever suggestions and not just idiots have nothing to do and just try to be sarcastic!Better from someone that lives now here in Medellin or from a Paisa.What's the meaning of the thread after all? The tourism is growing here and thats a fact wether someone likes it or not.And if someone can adapt the culture, likes living here and can make a small business where can find job some locals i don't see nothing wrong to that!

Sorry that i am asking but are you living in Medellin at the moment?And if you don't mind Morphus what are you doing for living?I do have some experience of opening a business in my country though.We started very good but later on cause of the global economic crises and to other opponents our profit went less.. So you recommend that this invest is a lot of money to start a business?Maybe you are right but have in mind that by selling dry fruit you will not make a good profit unless you turn it to a mass production.Also a good business to me sounds like a business where you don't have to hustle too much in order to get your profit once you make it work for you of course that might take several months!That means that you can have spare time (of course you have to check and control the business) and let the things work for you. Also a research is needed before you open it so is very important you are aware of the demanding of what you sell!I agree with the marketing and if you have good ideas how to do it is an advantage!Sure you have to know your advantages and disadvantages and how you can make the deferent. But all these are very general!What i would like to hear is like where do the Colombians spent their money?And also any ideas about tourism?What kind of business that has to do with tourism you think would be successful here in Medellin and where?

I am surprised you know Mani is a wonderful place to go for vacation and thats around 4 months but no more! I' d like to hear some more ideas from you guys!What do you think about the tourist field that has to do with hosting?What do you think that Medellin has to offer to the foreigners?How could be a successful business?Do you think it could be successful even now in Poblado or there are already too many so there is a lot of competition and the prices are too high?Which other places you think are good for this kind of businesses? Thanks for the advises..well i have i girlfriend here and had travel a lot in Europe, Costa Rica, Panama and then here where seems to have so many positives...The thing is that Medellin seems to be a place with a lot of opportunities and also offers you a very good quality of life and cheap compare to Europe or the States.Also it seems that everything growing very fast, malls, hotels, hostels, clubs, restaurants, constructions...more gringos are coming since it starts to have a reputation as a secure place and loses the dangerous fame that had once.I know that there are so many parts of the world i haven't see yet but Colombia seems to be one of the best countries in south America (so many travelers i met are saying that) and that is like a lost paradise where many people haven't discover yet!Sometimes you have to go on and grab the opportunity before is too late!I think that this place in the next 5 years will be much more developed and expensive than now so if i'll do something i have to harry up. To be honest i was thinking also to buy an apartment but opening a business can offer much more money with less investing. I was thinking something related with tourism, what is your opinion?
