nanis comments on Which city in Colombia has the most beautiful women?

well mario let me congratulate you on your marriage to this pretty lady and yeah you are very right she is really pretty, and yeah UCT is also right wherever you go even in a very small town you can still find hot women however we are talking about the city with the "most" good looking women in colombia and Caleñas have to be on top of the list along with the paisas and costeñas. I have been to Bogota myself many times in fact i was there about 3 months ago and the city is much more bigger now which means more opportunities and many more women I also found that most of these hot women happened to work in the TV industry and many if not most of them were caleñas... just a fact

nanis comments on Pa' Colombia Me Voy

awww estoy celosa!! haha good for you girl i know the feeling i just got back from a 4 month vacation in Colombia and that was my first time in 12 years so you can imagine how i was when that plane arrived at the cali airport i just couldn't hold back the tears and when the air hostess said "Ladies and Gentleman La sulatana del Valle welcomes you" i started to cry like a little girl..it was too much i guess one of these days i'm gonna have to write about my trip to colombia. i'm just so lazy and my trip was sooo long the story will be even longer but don't worry as soon as i post my pictures i'll let you guys know how my trip went

nanis comments on Which city in Colombia has the most beautiful women?

oh here we go again!!! que cali don't you understand??? haha no i'm just joking well i think it all depends in your taste if you're into lighter skin, hazel eyes kind of blonde girls then go to the paisa region you know Manizales, Pereira, La virginia, Medellin etc but if you're looking for some honey color skin, black hair nice round booty girls then go to either Cali or the coast I don't know about the other cities in Colombia haven't travel much in Colombia myself and no that doesn't mean i like girls!!

Cali is well known for having pretty ladies but most of the Paisas and costeñas are very sexy and pretty too

nanis comments on Engaged?

Desi that's what i thought too. to me getting engaged was about telling eachother's families we were going to get married. nothing more (no party, no ring, no nonsense) sometimes a couple can feel too tied down by the whole getting engaged process and they end up spliting up, it's just too much.. if you are going to get married just go ahead and do it that's what i say!

att: la gata salvaje ;)

nanis comments on TV dating show in COL(justed aired) with chicas and gringos

Do any of you know the names of agencies in cali? you know which ones i'm talking about! dating agencies where caleñas get to meet gringos ... not that i'm looking for gringos!! it's for my 20 year old cousin who wants to meet gringos who the hell knows why! well she asked me to ask you lot if you knew of these agencies... please let me know I would really appreciate your help now that she's convinced herself she wants to do this and she's so hard-headed! although i don't support her decision because she's very pretty and i don't think there's any need for her to go to an agency but I am no one to tell her what to do so all I can do is make sure she doesn't go to a dodgy agency... i'm gonna post some pictures of my trip to colombia soon and i'll post a picture of her as well gracias amigos!

att: la gata salvaje ;)

nanis comments on Engaged?

I don't think getting engaged is very common in Colombia, we don't have as much money to spend for an engagement party and an engagement ring and all that nonsense you have to go through but don't get me wrong i believe that getting engaged is a very romantic tradition just no practical enough for us colombians i guess well not at least for the poor ones like myself and to be honest i never met anyone in colombia who went through the whole engagement process before.

I got "engaged" because my husband proposed to me (but he never bought me no engagement ring) :( not that i wanted one anyway! so we knew we were gonna get married but we didn't take it as seriously as gringos do i guess we wanted to be comfortable with eachother and although we were "engaged" we still felt young and free like in any boyfriend/girlfriend relationship we weren't in any hurry to feel tied down that was for later when we did get marry..haha

so we then got married, we had two chunky wedding rings made in gold with our names and wedding date engraved inside, his ring had my name and i had his.

and that was it!

nanis comments on Jose, Pepe, Pepito...

Sylvie I'm from Cali myself and we never use the nickname "pepito" it sounds too cute for a grown man and may be he'll feel embarrassed if you call him that in front of other people and we only use it for our jokes as in "the pepito or juanito jokes".

The most commonly used nicknames for jose are CHEO and sometimes CHEPE which i haven't heard for a long time now...so CHEO would probably be a better option ask anyone they'll probably tell you the same.

nanis comments on TV dating show in COL(justed aired) with chicas and gringos

oh i saw that on dia a dia, that was hilarious my mother and i were laughing all the way through i felt kind of sorry for those gringos they looked so scared! and don't even get me started when they played la gasolina by daddy yankee that man didn't know whether to dance or to ran for his life! why did they make those poor gringos dance? they looked really embarrassed *pobresitos* but i don't know what was worst their dancing or the translator! i think at the end the presenter was talking more than the translator she didn't say anything and if i didn't understand a word she was saying i bet the gringos were even more confussed you can see it on their faces though

nanis comments on For you guys and gals

I've learned to be punctual since i've been living here in england, these people are scarily punctual and if you're late to meet up with them then you're dead! I think most colombians are the same we hate to wait but can't ever be on time!

att: la gata salvaje ;)

nanis comments on For you guys and gals

although my husband has a colombian background he couldn't be more "gringo" he was born and raised there and he acts and thinks gringo. it was difficult at first because even though i have spent many years out of colombia i still have colombian blood in me, my culture is very important to me and i'm always in touch with my colombian roots so it was difficutl to adjust to his way of life at first but when you love someone you compromise and that's what we did, i taught him our traditions he told me his which were basically none! and even thought we didn't have much in common at first we still found it intriguing when it came to eachother's cultures and habits he wanted to find out more about mine as i did his. although his way of thinking was more practical than mine he learned to be more sensible and he taught me to be more heartless! haha even if couples are from the same country with the same background they would still have their differences because not everyone is the same and not everyone think alike!

The language wasn't a problem i speak english and he can speak a little in spanish, i always encouraged him to speak more in spanish because so that he could learn more but it was a bit difficult for him especially when we argued because he didn't know how to argue in spanish! i always found that so funny so we ended up arguing in english, Spanglish was the language we communicated in.

We met a very long time when we were kids back in colombia on one of his vacaccions with his family and we kept in touch after i came to london we still talked a lot and then we decided that we couldn't be apart any longer so as soon as he finished studying he came to london to live with me. ;)

nanis comments on hello to all you friends and foes...

welcome back! good to hear from you dwmte well well well good to see people are returning! we need to spice things up here this forum has been way too depresing lately

nanis comments on hi again everyone!

you are right kat! well UTC my husband and I are trying to work things out, he says he wants us to get back together but i'm not so sure i don't want him to do the same he did to me when we were in colombia the thought scares me, only time will tell, i really miss him tho but i think distance is doing both of us a world of good. thanks for asking anyway and i hope isaactraveler doesn't think lil old me is trying to hijack his thread because that's not what i'm doing ;)

to be honest right now i'm just enjoying being single again, it's been a long time since i felt like this

nanis comments on what is Cali like?

stay the hell out of those places and don't mess with those people you'll be just fine ;)

nanis comments on what is Cali like?

Mr. Quindioman i salute you! i couldn't put it better myself! having lived in Cali and raised in el retiro in aguablanca I know how it is people don't just get shot there no! the people that are in the cementery right now asked for it! most of my family is there and is sad to say that but it's the truth none of them did nothing good so they had it coming people there don't like to be messed about so don't give them papaya!

nanis comments on hi again everyone!

awww i'm so happy for you! i was wondering what had happened to you since we haven't heard from you in a long while. but anyway i congratulate you i know what the feeling's like having a little baby girl is amazing they are real sweet! hope everything goes well and keep us updated with your happy news because we are one depressed lot here! we need happiness in this forum again!

nanis comments on Inquiring Minds Want to Know: The Real Deal with Colombians GFs./Fiancees

You couldn't be more right Desi!! I know the difference in bringing up kids here in Europe and in Colombia. The young teenage and other single mothers even the ones that are married get financial aid from the government to raise their kids! but sadly we don't have that privilege back in Colombia and we gotta do what needs to be done to support our little family :( and if sex comes to mind then a girl's gotta do what a girls gotta do! although that would be my last choice because i think it is morally wrong to sell one's body but then as a mother you will do anything for your children wouldn't you??

my husband was raised in America and sometimes he used to complaint about the amount of money I used to send to my family in Colombia but it's something we can't help doing because we know what it's like to be poor and now that most of us are financially better than we used to be we want to show how grateful we are by helping others

As for traditions:

Yeah we also like to take care of our viejitos! Even if we still live in Colombia trying to make ends meet with our low paid jobs we would still find money to give our parents, there is a good Son-mother relationship in Colombia the sons are very grateful with their mothers and they always spend money on them something most Colombian wives don't feel comfortable with... you know how devious mothers-in-law can be!

As for mother-daughter relationships well as i said before mothers always encourage daughters to find a man that's better off financially and that's tradition although not many of us do what mother says!

nanis comments on Inquiring Minds Want to Know: The Real Deal with Colombians GFs./Fiancees

however that doesn't mean that I am going to f*ck the first bald fat guy that crosses my path just because he's got money! i'm not like that i would only do it if i liked him and if he was especial to me so if i end up with a real old, bald and fat guy it would be because i do like him not just because he happens to be rich

nanis comments on Inquiring Minds Want to Know: The Real Deal with Colombians GFs./Fiancees

ok i need to say something here! not that we are gold diggers or anything! but it's more like a tradition like my mother always says... mija don't give it for free to a low life bastard no no no!!! find yourself a decent man who will support you financially instead! and that's what most of us do it's called surviving my dear!

I too am a mother and single now! So if I’m going to let someone come between me and my daughter this person has got to be someone responsible and that will respect me and my daughter and will accept my daughter most of all if he knows that I am in a very difficult position and have no means of earning money then the least he can do is support me and my daughter financially! I’m not gonna sleep with some low life who can’t pay his own bills and who wont help me out! No way!!! I rather find someone who’s prepared to help me financially and that’s not being a gold-digger it’s called being intelligent

nanis comments on Me falta poco!!!!

awww can you please take me with you??? then there will be two terremotos!! haha

nanis comments on colombians where are you living?

hey there are lots of colombians in london but i don't see them here in the forum tho! just quindioman and myself i guess :(

we have restaurants, nightclubs, shopping centres all over the place... north london: paisas - south london: Caleños not many people from bogota.. i wonder why?? you can find all sorts of colombian stuff in the supermarkets just go down to brixton market and they'll even speak to you in spanish! reggaeton is hitting hard here too i wonder what mr. greenday would say about that!

i'm quite happy to say that if i was to get homesick all i have to do is go to el pueblito paisa market in north london and i would feel right at home eating hot dogs a lo colombiano and listening to some salsa before hitting the colombian clubs in south london.

nanis comments on me pregunto que pasa

nanis comments on what is Cali like?

Examen a pepito

"¿Cuantas ventas hiciste hoy"?

English version two friends went on a girl's night out without their husbands.
On their way back home very drunk they felt the need to go toilet but the nearest place was a cementery.

they decided to go there, the first girl didn't find anything to wipe herself with so she took off her underwear and wiped herself then she threw her knickers away, the second girl didn't find anything to wipe herself with either so she decide to use the ribbon of a flower wreath and wiped herself with it.

then they made their way home, the next morning their husbands phoned eachother--F*CK! "looks like our wives really enjoyed themselves last night!" because my wife came home without her underwear, the other husband answers: "well you are lucky"! at least your wife went home without underwear! but.. mine came home with her pussy full of sparkly glitter and a greeting card attached on her ass which said "WE SHALL NEVER FORGET YOU"

nanis comments on Trip to Manizales

i went to manizales and bogota last May while i was in colombia and let me tell you something! that was my first time to manizales and walking up and down those deep hills was really tiring i went shopping to the city center and i never get tired while i'm shopping so you can imagine how fustrated i felt when i couldn't walk up the hills no more and to add to that i was wearing my high heel boots my legs were shaking and i had to get a taxi back to my hotel! my husband had a real laugh at my expense.... how do those women do it?

i was really tired and it was cold so i wore a thick jacket and then the sun came out and it was burning so much so that my cheeks turned red! i felt out of breath all the time it was really uncomfortable i guess i'm not as fit as i thought after manizales we went to bogota by coach the bus kept going up and up the mountains it was beautiful but really scary there was so much fog i could barely see the road and when we arrive in bogota i felt a bit sick it was a weird feeling.

then we went back to cali and everything was back to normal! :) the weather was hot we went straight to the swimming pool and i didn't have to walk up no hills anymore! i was a happy girl.

p.s I didn't find much to do in Manizales, i felt bored after my second day there although the views were amazing especially looking at the Nevado del Ruiz! and our hotel was lovely.. but i do have one thing good to say! although i felt bored and found nothing much to do while i was there the people made me feel at home i found them really friendly!

nanis comments on what do you think about the "REGGAETON"

ok sweety! haha please pray for my soul because i'm a real sinner i'm gonna go to hell for dancing reggaeton and not respecting my body! the tattoos add to that too. i'm gonna keep praying because "EL QUE PECA RESA Y EMPATA"

nanis comments on what do you think about the "REGGAETON"

ok greenday whatever you say! men think i'm a low class prostitute who sleeps with everyone just because i shake my booty and have two tattos, but that's that mean i care? no!! that's that mean i go to bed with them? no!! like my husband says... let them look because i'm the only one who's touching! haha listen sweetheart i am not one of those girls all i do is dance and not with everyone because to be honest i don't let many people near me i only dance with my husband or my friends that's all! if a man is watching me dance and thinking whatever he's thinking that's his problem because he hasn't got a chance with me! i'm not easy and that's what you can't understand just get that through your head sweety just because i dance reggaeton does not mean i bed everyone in the nightclub let them think whatever they think at the end of the day they know they haven't got a chance with me! and let just drop this subject because is getting too boring! we're never going to agree so i'll let you win..
you a priest me a b*tch end of story! happy??

nanis comments on what do you think about the "REGGAETON"

oh my god you make me laugh! what on earth has abortion got to do with me having tattoos? please don't compare me like that shame on you! so i guess you respect your body so much that all you do is breathe clean air, eat vegetables, excersise, and drink plenty of water. i guess you have never smoked, never drink alcohol and you never ever eat junk food because that would be harming your own body with toxins and garbage that's bad for you. yes i do respect my body and i respect myself most of all having a tattoo has nothing to do with self-respect that's your own opinion.

if a person feels cheap it's in their own mind! what is cheap anyway? why would a person feel cheap? cheap to me is something low and discasting something with no value i guess, but why would a person feel this way? because somebody has made them feel like this! they feel like they have to be better than they are just to impress others they live by what other people think, and how other people think they should live, they live by other people's rules and if that's true then they have some serious problem! because everyone should be an individual with their own ideas and opinions.
