N2Aquatix comments on lets see the cynics attact this one Spray-And-Pray Yeah, we definitely need more guns here. All the teenagers are armed with uzis and the adults are holding them off with shotguns. We need more spray-and-pray weapons to even the score. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on are colombians open minded? 70's Yeah, that's true, but you must also keep in mind that during the 70's homosexuality was more excepted.

N2Aquatix comments on warnings about CO 9mm I'm with you UC. I sleep with a 9mm. LOL!!! Comes from those army days when I visited places like South Korea. I learned a long time ago that when the pants go down, I'm going to do the f#cking! But on the topic at hand, I've had no problems in Colombia, but maybe it's because I treated it like Asia. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on are colombians open minded? Macho Man Remember that song by the village people, "Macho Man?" Those guys were all gay. LOL!!!

N2Aquatix comments on are colombians open minded? Gross Gay married men??? That's just gross! Imagine the poor woman giving him head and never realizing that she's eating a fudgesicle. :(

N2Aquatix comments on comparing Colombian education to western education Subject And Verb Agreement I have just one question concerning Colombian high school education. My fiancee graduated high school and is very intelligent in my opinion. I write and speak in formal and correct spanish. She has a problem understanding the spoken sometimes, but I don't use a lot of really involved phrases and tenses when I speak because obviously I have to convert the language in my head on the fly. When I write however, I use much more intricate sentence development because I have the time to do so. She has a serious problem understanding some of that. My question is this: It's her native language so why is it hard for her sometimes to understand what I'm saying? She can obviously speak spanish at light speed compared to me, but when she does so, she butchers the language to the point that I have to throw all the tenses out in order to understand her. Is it common in Colombia to disregard proper subject and verb agreement?

N2Aquatix comments on Are drugs legal in Columbia Me Too Yeah, me too LP. I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on Are drugs legal in Columbia I Agree I agree Desi. It's not just a black and white issue.
N2Aquatix comments on WHAT'S THIS A COLOMBIAN THING? F#ck-off Just tell them to f#ck-off and then stare at them until they do. That always works for me. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on Are drugs legal in Columbia Dope Heads I never knew there were so many dope heads on here. That's f#cking scary!!! I get high on living a fun life and drinking a few beers. I used to do drugs as a kid, but as I grew up I grew out of it.

N2Aquatix comments on Internet Telephone Skype My Japanese friends use Skype and they say it's great.

N2Aquatix comments on Colombian rocker Juanes has no plans to sing in English Worldwide The White Stripes rock! Worldwide success says it all. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on Are drugs legal in Columbia Miguel Yes, I know why there is a drug war. But wait, let me guess, are they calling it a revolution these days or something? The last time I was down there they busted a bunch of guys for having drugs and they were Colombian and they weren't going through customs and they weren't the FARC or anything like that, so now I have to ask you: If it's legal for them to have it then why did they bust them and have it all over the news???
N2Aquatix comments on Are drugs legal in Columbia Drug War Let's see........if drugs were legal then why would they be having a drug war???

N2Aquatix comments on Which area in colombia has the most gringos Knocked Dead LMAO w/UC. Yeah, knocked dead by all the latina attention. Perhaps dead from a heart attack because of all the tagging and bagging. Maybe run-over by the crowd of latinas when he got off the plane. Lots of possibilities here. :)
N2Aquatix comments on Colombian rocker Juanes has no plans to sing in English Cool. I saw Los Lost Boys (I think that's what they were called) the other night on one of the talk shows. They were really good. The guitarist played some really good scales. Kind of had that Flaminco sound. I was impressed. Not many rock guitarists use the Flaminco scales. Very classical sounding.

N2Aquatix comments on Which area in colombia has the most gringos Southern Slang I know what you mean LP. I took spanish in high school and college so my spoken spanish is very proper compared to that of my novia. She hardly ever uses all of the tenses properly, but maybe it's like southern slang, "I seen that dude yesterday, he be trippin!"
N2Aquatix comments on Colombian rocker Juanes has no plans to sing in English Rock or Pop? Never heard of the dude. What kind of "rock" does he play? Is he a musician or simply a singer? Is his style "heavy", or more like the kind of pitiful pop that I often hear referred to as rock? I would be interested in knowing more.

N2Aquatix comments on Bill Clinton will visit Bogotá on Wednesday Perfect Representative He's probably the only guy in the world that can get a blowjob without having sex. Bill is the ultimate horn-dog/party-animal/politician. I think he's a perfect representative for the people of the USA! ;)
N2Aquatix comments on Which area in colombia has the most gringos 1-Mile Radius I agree with you, LP. Personally I like being the only gringo within at least a 1-mile radius. Most of them make us look bad because they can't speak a lick of spanish. Kind of makes me feel sorry for my fiancee because she speaks very little english and will be arriving here in the states hopefully before Christmas. Oh well, I guess I'll spend a lot of time interpreting for her while she learns the lingo. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on Would it be possible for the good people of the country of Colombia to stop calling themselves “Colombians” Life Is Good Yes, I was one of them, and yes I did meet a hotter-than-fire latina and we're engaged. Life is good! ;)

N2Aquatix comments on Would it be possible for the good people of the country of Colombia to stop calling themselves “Colombians” Have To Check It Out I'll have to check it out. That movie looks like it probably kicks at ss.

N2Aquatix comments on Bill Clinton will visit Bogotá on Wednesday Inhale Whatever you do, don't let him inhale. That almost ruined his career one time.

N2Aquatix comments on Would it be possible for the good people of the country of Colombia to stop calling themselves “Colombians” Clear And Present Danger A round of applause for Sandie29. And yes, Kat they do know that Colombia exists. It's where all the cocaine comes from, and they made that movie "Clear And Present Danger" about all the killing that goes on by the cartels and all the military assistance provided by the American government to the Colombian government. You see, it may be over-sensationalized by our media, but at the same time it's very well publicized. It's really a shame because the thing that caught my attention the most was the abundance of hot- at ss latinas all drooling at the chance to meet a white-boy. Never saw any toot, just a bunch of gun-toting soldiers which is definitely cool. Peace through superior firepower! ;)

N2Aquatix comments on Food! (it's making me sick) Resturants I never got sick from eating the food there but I stick to eating in the resturants. I don't eat street food and stuff like that which obviously has no measures for quality control. For that matter, I wouldn't eat street food anywhere in the world. I find the food in Colombia to be very good. Most of the dishes that I ordered in the resturants were not bland or spicy, but somewhere in between. Steak, chicken, and seafood entrees are readily availible. For a cheap lunch there's hamburger and fried chicken joints all over down there. As for eating at someone else's house, I usually don't even do that here in the states. If I want home cooking, I usually cook it myself because I'm very picky. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on jobs in colombia for english speakers? Smuggler Why don't you just smuggle drugs? It's much more profitable than actually working for a living. :)

N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Brain-washing I think part of the problem is that we all grow up here in the states singing America The Beautiful, reciting The Pledge Of Allegiance, and learning about The Constitution Of The United States Of America. Maybe it's all a bunch of brain-washing or something, but Colombians on this particular website are the only people I have ever heard engage in this argument. My fiancee is Colombian and she has no concept of this argument at all. She considers it infantile, and recognizes that Americano definitely refers to her gringo cracker white-boy novio from the USA. I've never heard her use the term gringo not even one time. This would indicate that while some hispanic people don't think it is insulting, she most assuredly does.

N2Aquatix comments on Colombian Beer Morphus It's actually Gatorade in the morning followed by beer all afternoon and then some hard stuff (shots) by the end of the night. You have to remember that when I am in Colombia I am on vacation. I work hard enough here in the states. When I venture forth on vacation it's party time. I return home refreshed and ready to go back to the mines to make some lucky SOB incredibly rich. As long as I get my piece of the pie I'm happy. My fiancee doesn't work because I take care of all of her needs just as I have every other woman that I ever dated. That's just the way my dad raised me. When I go to visit her she is basically on vacation right along with me, hence her desire to enjoy keeping up with me beer for beer. I work hard and when the weekend comes I play hard. That's just my lifestyle and I love every minute of it. I still find it hard to believe that nobody mentioned Killians Irish Red. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on Colombian Beer Tequila So I see that my Colombian brothers and sisters have a taste for beer too. That's awesome. You always see the Tequila thing on TV and in the movies.

N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Title Of course, if you want to call me an at sshole I'll probably accept that title and wear it proudly. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Skin Color I don't particularly like the word gringo because it is a term of skin coloration. I don't think other people like to be catagorized by their skin color either.
N2Aquatix comments on Colombian Beer krauts Yes, I'd have to agree that the krauts probably started the whole thing (Did I just say kraut??? My german ancestors would be appalled!). I've seen Yuengling but never tried it. I probably will in about 15 minutes. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Colombiche, you have some interesting posts. I thought you picked that nickname as the obvious combination of two words. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on Colombian Beer Budstupider I can't even get a buzz drinking Budweiser. It should be called Budstupider. Poker sounds like a winner, I like the name of that one too. I'll give it a try also.

N2Aquatix comments on Colombian Beer Weak And Nasty Good US beer? You got me on that one! Is Rolling Rock considered a micro? I really don't know. Most of the mass produced US beer is as you said, weak and nasty. Or the other extreme, perfumey like michelob. LMAO!!!
N2Aquatix comments on Colombian Beer Ice Cold Beer Ahhh........ice cold beer on a hot day. AWESOME!!! Yes, I do like the fact that the women are raised correctly down there and still have manners and values. I'll have to try the Costena next time. Make that next month! I like the name of that one because I am from the coast myself. Well, speaking of beer it's about beer:30 in this part of the world so I'm going to give Honda 20 more minutes of my time, then I'm headed for the house and a cold one. By the way, I don't usually drink the water here either. That stuff will kill you. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Yankee Are you callin me a yankee, boy? Thems fightin words. Be proud if you're a rebel cause the south will rise again!

N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo at ssholamericans You could just call us at ssholamericans. That's what half the planet calls us anyway. Especially in the middle-east. ;)

N2Aquatix comments on What Am I a Clown? Threshold Of Boredom LMAO!!! Me too. Hey I have a low threshold of boredom and this is one place where someone is always ready to bring it on. Plus I ummmm.......learn a little more about the side of Colombia that my fiancee obviously never sees. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on What Am I a Clown? Cloth Lockheed, that is precisely why I fell in love with a Colombiana, but as I've said before, she doesn't seem to be cut from the same cloth as some of the people that I've met on this forum. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Michael Hey Michael. I don't mind it when my black friends call me a cracker, or when my Japanese associates call me round-eye.
N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Earthling Wow!!! This is really entertaining. I am engaged to a very beautiful Colombiana and she doesn't suffer from the type of insecure anxiety that I see on this website. It may be the result of the fact that she is not from the obviously stuffy and conceited Colombian upper-class that thinks just because they have a car that gives them a license to p1ss on all the poor people as they drive by. It must really suck to be so insecure that you have to try to rob a people of the name that the rest of the world has given them. Next you'll tell me that I can't call myself an Earthling because you are on this planet too. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Americans Well Desi, in both of the two major world wars we were referred to as Americans. If you travel the globe you will find out that we are referred to as Americans. We are both loved and hated, feared and underestimated, but we are always called Americans. It's a tough life but somebody has to live it.
N2Aquatix comments on american vs gringo Just Having Fun You know I'm just having fun Cockney. Honda has to pay me for something and I've already seen most of the good free porn that's on the net today. ;)
N2Aquatix comments on What Am I a Clown? Nuts True caslug, I agree completely. If you go to some places and insult the locals, like Hawaii or South Korea, you will have your nuts handed to you in short order. I suspect the same is true of Colombia. I tend to treat people the way that I would like to be treated so I had no problems visiting any of these places and returning with my nuts intact. ;)
