I need info about Medellin

I have a friend who is going to Medelling to meet his lover. This is what the person said about where they live: "yo vivo en las afueras de la ciudad en la localidad de caldas a 30 minutos del centro". Does this mean that the barrio is called Daldas? Is it a small town outside of Medellin? Does anyone know if this a good area or a dodgy one. Any info would help my friend because he is getting a little nervous.

To foreign women in Colombia

I have been seeing a lot of postings from women going to Colombia for the first time. I want to share a little tip that was given to me by a Colombian male friend. A Gringa Perspective
