Hello, I met my Colombian girlfriend just over a year ago while she was working in England. Since she's been back home in Bogota I've flown over there a couple of times to see her.
I miss her lots, we spend hours on the Skype but it's not enough.
I hope through the wise words of "Poor But Happy" I will discover a way to work in Bogota, live there and be happy ever after there.
I'm also going to work on losing those 3 zero's on my activity record above, this comment should break my duck - 0,1,0, now we're truckin'.

0, 1, 0, it's a start ;)

Getting a job in Bogota is not *that* hard, you could for example teach English, or start some travel related business. It depends of course what you're looking for. Good luck!

Hello Peter, I really cheered up when I found PBH, what a terrififc resourse and a great site. Thanks for taking time to drop me a line, I am looking to find work in teaching, I am currently a student with the Open University in the UK, reading International Studies, but I have a few years left to go with them. I want to organise continuing my studies with them while in Colombia, it seems that may not be a problem. I have read on the PBH forum about the possible teaching oppotunities, now I will try and sort something. Thanks again Peter.

That sounds like a great plan, I studied with the open U as well briefly. The only thing you'll have to do is to make sure you can take the exams somewhere, but I believe they organize exams in lots of locations.
