morten66 comments on Scary news story about kidnapping Mr.Hollywood and Mr.Gringo In Bogota Mr.Hollywood - Great that you post your views, so do I, but I am sure you will agree with me that it is a shame that some right wing "know it all" like mr.Gringo in Bogota has to post his asshole comments to everyone that actually posts serious topics?

morten66 comments on Mr.Gringo Just to clear up a few facts.. at the moment the UN and Nato is now fighting your wars as though everyone was opposed to your wars - you did it anyway. The US owes the UN fortunes as somehow you seem unable to pay what you have promised. As for world war 2 you did not get involved until after Pearl Harbour - and probably found it in your best interest to join the war - or maybe you like me would not be able to critiscise today.

morten66 comments on Puerto Wilches Puerto Wilches & Gringo in Bogota As for finding out about historically/navy persons, I suggest you contact the naval/maritime museum in Cartagena as they have or try to have records of everyone enlisted and do contineous research. They are also sponsored by a number of nations to research the history of events and persons - that would be my best guess - and they are very helpful. Good luck and all the best! M

morten66 comments on Getting a work visa & permit to stay: Don't do it! USA and their much needed "help" The only "help" the US has given the world this century is making the world a very unstable place... As much as I would love to discuss this with you - I really cant be bothered as everyone outside the US allready knows this...

morten66 comments on Getting a work visa & permit to stay: Don't do it! Gringo in Bogota Please check out his profile "griongo in bogota" and his postings - I rest my case.. a rightwing, redneck that loves a bar fight and loves to see police "sort people out the way it should be", ex. military violent street boxer... I appreciated your comments - You are a true embassador of your USA as the world sees it these days! Unbelivable!

morten66 comments on Getting a work visa & permit to stay: Don't do it! History Somehow.. history must have passed you by... Look at your countrys (I take it you are American) involvement in Central America throughout the past few decades... And what are you talking about visa to the us? I went to school there and have one, what the hell has that got to do with anything? We are still talking about Colombia are we not?

morten66 comments on Hello Mr.Gringo In Bogota It is funny how you slag my comments of how the system works and the problems concerning it. Now that I have read your posting, it is remarkably funny that we very much agree. We both love the country, though one major difference - You as an ex.US soldier that get your visa/permits just because of your nationality, is to critisise someone from another country that is not "bought and bribed" by the all righteous America... Great! A bible in one hand and a gun in the other - and whoever does not agree, well - kill them.. very mature thinking.

morten66 comments on Getting a work visa & permit to stay: Don't do it! Well... If being convicted of lack of paying taxes makes me a hardcore criminal.. then I suppose there are a lot of us... I have never tried to bribe the DAS... I just mentioned that the ones that do, obviously have an easier life than the ones that try to do things right. I employ 18 people and are hardly a threat to society. I am just making a point out of how they handle their affairs and the unfairness/corruptness of it all... As for the US.. well, look at what the world is coming to...I dare to say that central/latin America would be in a fairly better state if they had kept at home..

morten66 comments on How safe is Cartagena? How stupid is this question? The Colombians have obviously been given a bad reputation by (mainly) the damage the US has done in this region over decades.. It is a relatively poor country, in terms of how the wealth is being distributed, but this is a far safer country than Brazil and Venezuela (given that you don`t make a principle out of it and venture into the zones guaranteed you have been warned about), the thing about this place is that everyone is sick of war, everyone has their family war stories.. and can still sit around and talk about it without - seemeingly bitterness, at one stage everyone get`s enough and want`s to move on - Colombia... I think, feel, is moving on - without predjudice in a far better scale than the US and Europe, we should learn. As for the dangers... use your head, safer than the two forementioned continents on a saturday night...
