people whose mother tongue are either refered to as latino or hispanic in the mainstream......as a non-linguist, I wonder.....does hispanic come strictly from hispanolia in the caribbean (which come from europe)? And latin, could also mean french, italian and portugese.....
Question is: who is hispanic and who is latino, it sometimes seems they are interchangeable.......?? ...

Mi novia just flew down from Barranquilla to Bogota for interview with the american embassy....
Thought was to get her U.S. visa, stay a day in miami and obtain her visa to come to the Bahamas (easy, only takes 1 day)
After providing all my information, including all banking and showing that I have a thriving business here in the Bahamas....guess what?? they still SAID NO
Reason: she could not convince them she would return to Colombia

just got great news.....my baby is flying downfrom barranquilla to bogota june 23rd....she got her embassy interview....and..and...visa will be processed in 8 days....1rst week in july I will fly down to whisk her away....sometimes life is good ...

2 topics........just came back from barranquilla 3 days ago....was very apprensensive based on what I read on this site...flew thru' miami from las bahamas........there and back....everything smooth, flights left on time.....no hassles....even taxis in barranquila were managed by sympathetic drivers......equivalent of $4.50 for 40 minute taxi ride......could not beat it.....so what is this talk about horror stories ...sorry not prejudice....but sometimes americans expect things in other countr ...
