mjordan2169 comments on colombian history

Usually one can find a plethora of books at the local library or book shops (I prefer barnes and noble). When you get there, you can look up on their computer their whole list of titles for your subject. In your case, type in History of Colombia or Colombian History. If that doesn't work, perhaps try and find an internet connection (they also have it at the library) and type in the same topic-History of Colombia or Colombian History at google.com. Hope this helps!!!!

TOMTOM, We leave on Friday. Thanks for all your help. Any other last minute things, feel free to shoot over. You seem to be on the same page as my friends and me.

mjordan2169 comments on Cartagena in 2 Days!

There's a little place called La Dolce Vita. Not many have heard of it. Many of the nicer, high class girls w/ high morals and strong family values go there. Be sure to where plenty of expensive jewelry and flash lots of cash, preferably large bills. Shorts are highly recommended.

mjordan2169 comments on My cartagena trip is a reality, now within 2 weeks, I have some questions...

As for the Chiva bus...are there different companies? Is it totally random? Is the price negotiable or how much should I be paying? Which ones are best?

Thank you everyone who answered this post seriously. Like I said, the trip is booked, no need to tell me to go somewhere else.

you think Julia Roberts is drop dead gorgeous? are you serious? she has a horse face with an oversized mouth. and her acting is mediocre at best.

Thanks for the advice. When you say expensive, how much are we talking. We are ruling nothing out when we are there and looking to have a blast, yet arrive back to US unscathed. Any kind of info you can leave, that obvioulsy cannot be obtained on family travel websites is appreciated.

Good question about the attire. I am going in March for the first time and I am anxious to see the responses. And I am 100% blanco.

mjordan2169 comments on taking a desktop computer on a tourist visa

I hate laptops too! grrrrrrrr. But I think there is a website that sells these cool, small, notebook-sized computers. Maybe you could bring one of them? I think it's dell dot com or something like that. google "small, cool, fun, notebook-sized computer" and see what comes up.
