BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) - A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the Pacific Coast of Colombia on Sunday night, collapsing homes and injuring at least four people in the country's rural southwest, but causing no reported deaths, officials said. The quake hit at 8:49 p.m. local time and was centered about six miles beneath the ocean floor just off the coast, some 295 miles southwest of Bogota, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. No tsunami warning was issued. It was felt across several states in western Colombia, including the cities of Cali and Popayan. In the town of El Charco, near the epicenter, Caracol Radio reported there were four people injured after some 20 homes near the coast collapsed or were damaged by flooding. "We'll know more when the sun rises and can do a full survey of the hardest hit area, but it doesn't appear to have caused any deaths or major damage," said Carlos Sanchez, a seismologist for Ingeominas, Colombia's geological institute. Earthquakes are frequent occurrence across the Andean nation, though they are rarely deadly.

Pilot Guy... No you do not need a TV setup in the US but you do need an active cable or satellite receiver set up somewhere to connect the Slingbox to. Basically you connect the Slingbox to the receiver and then a ethernet connection from the Slingbox to your internet router/modem. You then run the software via ethernet to set up the Sling ( type of receiver,hostname and password) You then install the Slingplayer software on the Laptop that you will be using in Colombia, entering the hostname and password. Thats about it in a nutshell When you run the application on your laptop you will connect with the Slingbox in the US over the internet (hi speed) You will see the screen and a remote control to control the receiver. We signed up for the service two weeks ago. We got the Rapimax city plan to make unlimited calls to Cali for 29.95 a month. The first three months are 19.95. The wife says that the calls clearer than our current VOIP provider Sunrocket Anyway instead of paying 200-300 dollars a month, give these guys a try for 19.95. I think you will be happy....Sonia is...problem no I cannot get her off the phone.....but on Sunday afternoon is that a bad thing :-)

And they do not give you a number that they deem excessive.Below is from the terms of use.

Real Easy Just get yourself a passport and a ticket and go ! You will be given a visa at the point of entry, normally 60 days. Also you will be given a customs declaration on the plane trip down. This will be needed after going through the immigration (DAS)desk and after picking up your baggage. Just present it to the customs agent and proceed into your friends awaiting arms...........Good Luck and have fun !

Listen to your heart not someone else who has no idea what is happening. If she was Russian then yes I would say she was a visa whore. I learned the hard way marrying a Russian. Now my Calenia is my life as well as is her family. All the gringos that I know are very happy whith their Colombianas. I say do not listen to the nay sayers. Do you really want to marry a gringa in the future ? I bet the divorce rate with gringas is a lot higher than if you married a Colombian.
