Well hi! I saw your request for ratings of hotels in Medellín, I live in Medellin, so I can tell you which hotels are nice. the ones you mentioned are all located in El Poblado, which is the nicest area, were you are perfectly safe, you can walk, go to great malls, the Lleras Park, upscale restaurants, etc. If you are not renting a car and don't want to expend much on cabs, maybe you'll prefer a hotel like Dann Carlton (one of the fanciests, they have low rates for weekends) it is located in Poblado Avenue, which allows you to move carefree in public transportation, or by foot, and is close to pretty much everything you'll need. Poblado Plaza and Portón Medellín are smaller hotels, but really nice ones, also with easy access and located in El Poblado.
