I've never been to Lotus before but I hear that it's a really cool place located somewhere around 58th street and carrera 10. A friend of mine is the featured DJ tonight (friday) and he's given me door passes. Since I don't know that many people yet here in Bogota, I'm asking anyone who might be interested. Is anyone in Bogota interested in a VoIP phone adapter?

Not sure if this post will survive. I am cancelling my VoIP phone line but nstead of sending back the adapter to the US, I want to see if someone's interested here in Bogota. This will let you have a USA phone number here in Colombia. You can make and receive calls to the USA and Canada as if you were in the US. This particular one has a 561 number (Palm Beach county, Florida) but can be changed to almost any other US area code.

No award for Catalina Sandino today

The Screen Actors Guild awards took place today. Catalina Sandino was nominated for Best Actress but, predictably, she did not win. I didn't think she would.

Does anyone else feel that the American establishment will probably never give an important award to a Colombian? I'm not saying that Sandino is more deserving than any of her contenders, but let's say that she was... would they give the award to a total outsider? a COLOMBIAN? Probably not.
