Knowing the hypocricy of many governments and their embassies, does anyone have any clue whether it is easier for a Colombian with no visas except a few short-term tourist ones to Caribbean islands to get a visitor or student visa to England or to Canada? My boyfriend must choose--he doesn't have the money to apply to both at the same time. If he meets the requirements of having a job (5 years), owning property, and being able to pay for the course overseas, where does he have the best chance? W ...
Do you need a prescription for Viagra in Colombia? Is there a generic version?
that is one thing that gringos can do to help repair the image of the US in most of the world. Those of us in Colombia usually make enough to live well here, and I think tipping, when most Colombians don't, and OVERtipping, such as in restaurants, should be common practice, since we can afford it and since we don't have that caste-system attitude that most well-off Colombians have. They can't tell you which flights are avaialable without calling someone on the phone who either doesn ...

So now, it costs me an extra 2-5K pesos every time I shop to help Carulla make sure the profits are record again next year. And, of course, to help Los Ricos make sure a middle class has no chance to develop.
That sucks!!! ...
