Thanks D, and good morning to you. Really though, be thankful for the opinions, they are reflections of the minds that post them, and its saves so much time not having to assess character. MV

A little cloudy today in Miami. Should be drinking but I'm here solo and even Jack has lost it's appeal. But a sushi lunch with a bit of sake flowing is on the agenda today! Right after my live (group) video chat with Medellin ;)

Why so long? or short/ One of my first questions if I pass St Peter. Why so xxxx lord why!!!! I was just a baby when they were handing out penis'. At the time it looked big in my hand! Why the duration. Those feeling guilty will leave when the guilty feeling sets in. Those dominating macho men will use the room for every minute they pay for, whether they finish in seconds or not at all.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

I think all here are characterizing how thing are, for YOU, elSapo. Or maybe it would be better if I stated that many here might be characterizing you from your statements of "how things are." I respect you for speaking your mind and daring to show your character as opposed to those who tend to veil their true selves. I imagine we live in vastly different worlds. Thanks RAAAY For picking up on the setup!

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Well elSapo I hope you at least live out YOUR fantasies. For some their relationship is at the point where you see your wife with another man while your main focus is pleasuring a different lady. It is so very different to have a night of this type of pleasure as opposed to the more common event of a 15 minute interlude where the man demonstrates his character by treating the 'puta' disrespectfully, stripping away any dignity with total disregard for pleasure, leaving with either guilt or I'm the dominant man written all over his face. If anyone doesn't think that this is the 'common' they probably, in my humble opinion, don't know much about about the sexual predilections in Medellin. There are those who want to judge us by our words here while for others we just are sharing the human experience, but the later do tend to characterize personalities.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Hair2MyAss how wrong you are. Men are not exactly bitches, nor disrespectful macho asses with testosterone bathed minds. It is more like, and this may be hard to imagine, a group of respectful men and women who know the gift of sexual satiation is the result of a quest to pleasure your partner(s).

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

For the guys: Probably means your not a swinger. Or are you? Better ask your wife if you are. Better yet, maybe you should ask her how SHE FEEL ABOUT IT. IN THE CLUB ALMOST ALL THE SOCIAL CONTACT AND PLANNING IS DONE BY THE WOMEN. JUST A HEADS UP.

I'll never tell, that's what defines me. The integrity to protect the unspoken promise. Discretion is the better part of valor! There have been a few pass the portal without showing their marriage certificate.( HaHa) But the vast majority attend 2-3 times a month together as a couple. Then over the years you come to think of them as a couple. Could be wrong, don't know. I was always focused on providing excellent unobtrusive service and having the coldest Heinikins in the valley.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

So to appear knowledgeable, consider this to believe or not. Couples in the "swinger lifestyle" are couples, most of them married. Can't say that I have met any regular poster on PBH. As stated they are mostly Medellin locals from all walks of life. The club is for the clients. Voyeurs, Exhibitionists, Swapping and Orgies. The couples feel free to live THEIR fantasies, free of judgement from mortals.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

I guess the illegal part was me overstaying my visa! But to explain that I have to admit how more stupid than stupid I was. Oct 12 2007 was the last I entered Colombia. My Novia of 6 years and I had been having a mixed up relationship for 2 years but we were making it work. But around Christmas things worsened. Separation was inevitable and I wanted her to have the club. I told here repeatedly that it was for her she just had to live within it's means, 12 million gross/mo 5-6 million net/mo. But every month found me infusing money into the club. In the 6 months Jan - July 2008 I put in 20 million pesos of my retirement and that's where I called it. No more money of mine. Then the club refused to die. It was one of the hardest decisions I ever made and the saddest 6 months watching it die, her killing it just to spite me. In Dec I let the building owners auction off everything in the club and in my house to pay the 12 million in back rent, 4 million to EPM, million to Alcaldia Sabaneta, and so on. Not to mention the 500K to Bon Bonite, 750k to Fruta Fresca, close to a million Studio F, and an obscene amount on the Exito card. She saw how painful it was for me but she didn't understand why. I was really watching her kill her future. And in the end I just walked away with my laptop and about 30% of my clothes in 1 suitcase. Of all things considered this was probably my most immoral act. Illegal no. Immoral? Is watching and letting a person kill their future immoral? Those of wisdom will no doubt post a better word. For me it was the worst thing I have ever done, and the saddest. Same shit different day, just another stupid gringo. The restaurants, (ok 1 is a food cart), and the nail salon are people that I have given a hand up to not a handout. Apartment in Buenos Aires, was the new venture. Flipping houses with a new kitchen, bath and hot water. Bought for 48 million, 36 days of work 22 days to sell (Feb & Mar) for, well a little profit. Had that little bit of profit in my pocket in the hotel for my birthday party. Good things too, used it to pay the lawyer. So tell me Fence231, bullshit? or stupid gringo of the decade award? I can't really feel anything now so say what you want. Just really looking for help with this visa to get on with my life. Have a house picked out for the next remodel in the La 70 area.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Also Fence231 since you are knowledgeable about me and Cuchicheos, please explain to all just what was illegal. You think a gringo with a swingers club in a religious town such as Sabaneta functions for 5 years without paperwork and licenses? And is it not immoral to be judging the morality of others? I have found it always better to have facts in the tank and the brain in gear before the mouth, or in this case the keyboard is engaged.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

You caught me Fence231, it is all bullshit. The shittiest part is that it is true. Didn't have the foresight and was moneygrubbing over only paying the tourist exit tax since I came and went 5-6 times a year. Pretty stupid huh? Didn't ever apply for a visa because I was in love and I thought the relation would last. Building rented for the club 900m2 in my name but all other paperwork, camera de comercio, etc in hers. Stupid really doesn't begin to sum it up. But owning things and having the paperwork should be in my favor even though they are small in value. Will post in the following days what the consulate has to say.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Cuchicheos was an exclusive and very private club in Sabaneta. One of only 2 adult business' in Sabaneta, Motel Invegas and Cuchicheos. As I said above to Desideria, the clientelle are VERY PARTICULAR about security, privacy and who they encounter. Aussie Greg (I believe) has the Marriage Service "The Mansion" in Poblado, but alas I have never met him.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Desideria, only couples were allowed entry. No girls here. No minors. The rules were strictly enforced. The couples in this lifestyle are very particular in that respect and in regards to their privacy. My Clients were virtually all local couples. El Sapo, I never applied for a Visa before, we will see now. Spent my time between USA, Colombia, Indonesia and Egypt in a horrific rotation. Want to retire now. Tired of the travel. So many friends??? Sadly no, so very few you can really trust. But my good friends are the best people on the planet.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Having things is so unimportant. The ability to walk away form things. What is that? My point here that you missed or didn't care to address is the value I put on good people. They are important to me and through helping them help themselves I feel like I have been good for Colombia the past 6&1/2 years.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Jeez, if I'm denied my visa I guess I'll have to sell my house in Belen, apt in Buenos aires and close 2 small restaurants and a nail salon. But Miguel Clavo, before I do that, please let me send you 17 good employees for you to employ. Is your nickname St. Peter because it sounds like your judging me and only St Peter and idiots would be doing that. Or did I not get the memo, St. Peter is off today and you're filling in?

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

Nothing of note. I'm told I should be having a different class of lady in my life, like a lawyer my lawyer thinks! She is so good and a professor of law to boot at U of Medellin. My clients at Cuchicheos were 99% locals including 2 chiefs of police, a mayor many from DAS including 1 who came for me. Many influential (and a few dangerous) people that I feel it was more important to protect their privacy than ask for favors. They all expect me back shortly and you never know, the next club will might have a few more theme room, and a pool with waterfall and grotto behind it. Looking for 500m2 with parking.

MedellinViking comments on What happened to Medellin Viking, Club Cuchicheos and what DAS does when you spend 549 on a 30 day tourist stamp

MedellinViking comments on

Helping (Ahem) out Colombians Many people, after having been in Colombia a bit, have an idea to lend a helping hand and change a life of one or more Colombians. The counry really isn't important as it happens all around the globe. What is important is to realize you really have to think though the unforseen consequences of your actions. In my family and business here I have been surprised many times by a "side effect" that I never considered.

I run my business here in many ways like the bar discussed in the other recent thread and this after learning lessons the hard way. Everything seems to work better here when there are consequences for not accepting responsibility. Broken glasses, I just used to buy new ones. Now it is you break one and you buy 2. Breakage was down about 95% in 2006. This is just a small example but it demonstrates getting people to take responsibility for their actions. From my 4 years here this lesson has constantly come up. For many though, looking at the short view, these seemily rigid rules and punishmets may seem extreem but in the longer view what really happens is the behaviour get modified and the rule almost becomes a moot point. It really brings me a great sense of pride when an employee come to me and says "I'm sorry but I'm responsible for..." The punishment still gets meted out but a bigger reward is earned by more trust and ultimatly promotion. So many live people live with the fear that the punishment is so grave, the embarassment etc that they will sacrifice all integrity for such minor points, it really astonds me. I originally thought I would help people out here by giving them a good job but ultimatly I have much more pride in seeing a person rescue their integrity.

One small side note is we pay all wages and benefits according to the law here. All it took was a couple of demandas from employees to get me on that course, but when you work for me you are going to earn your wages with teamwork and responsibility for your actions, and then there will be a little something in your pay to cover the occasional accidental breakage.

MedellinViking comments on Gas Octane Rating In Colombia

Higher Octane and manf recommendations It has been my understanding that the octane level that is required by a car has to do with its compression rating and that using higher octane in a car without the correct compression gives no advantage. But a a car with a compression rating that requires a higher octane fuel suffers greatly without it. Possible I am mistaken in which case a car guru here can sort me out.

MedellinViking comments on Which is the Best airline Avianca Or Copa ?

I'm a Continental/Copa Flyer I have 5 - 6 trips a year California/Housten/Panama/Medellin. I once tried the LAX to Panama but then I have a overnight in LA on the return.

I also have 2 trips a year into Indonesia so I use Continental Micronesia and this keeps all my miles in one account.

If you buy a Presidents Club pass, in Panama and in Houston you have nice clubs with open bars/internet/snacks and a sofa to rest on while passing your layover time.

I have not had any problems with them and they have been very accomodating in ticket changes with me in the Medellin Copa office.

For those who do not like Panama, I say better to hub through Panama than Bogata! Especially with all the new changes in the Panama airport.

MedellinViking comments on How much liquour

Galiceto get a brain 1 liter of liquor weighs less than 2 pounds. Depending on whether it is in a glass or plastic bottle you have between 2.5 to 5 pounds / bottle. At the maxmum this is 25 pounds for 5 liters. If you are packing half gallons the weight is even less. A half gallon bottle is 1.75 liters so the 5 liter limit is 2 half gallons and 2 fifths, 4 bottles total to pack. You think there is no room for this? Try to do some basic math before you are so quick to write dunkopf or your lack of intelligence shines through.

MedellinViking comments on How much liquour

US to Medellin I found out the hard way that only 5 liters of liquor are allowed in your checked bags. I was paged and had to go back to retrieve a bottle. I already had 2 half gallons in my carry-on but another fifth passed with no problem, this being a couple of years ago, before the liquid laws that are in effect now. Customs in Medellin have never said anythng about the booze, and in the last 4 years I have averaged about 10-11 trips through customs. So if you like bourbon or nice tequilas bring them with you.

Must have been painful.... Really now, if you want to be reincarnated with the knowledge you have acquired in the last 2 years I can only assume that it was a painful learning experience! Oh by the way in my 4 years here I've had my share of painful learning. How about a top 5 list of the most significant lessons learned ? I'll even start you out with one of mine. "Even though you pay for someone's total existence, you don't own or control them." It is so easy to fall into the roll of the Tyrant King here.

Now about reincarnation, who knows. I could tell you what I think, but then you would have to tithe, just like in any (most) church(es). There is also that nagging idea in physics that energy is neither created nor destroyed, thus that part of your existence is reincarnated so to speak if you believe in the laws of physics....

But I digress when the thread is really about insecurity........

Live your fantasies because life is short and from all I've seen death is really, really long....

MedellinViking comments on

Insecurity and the brain can be the worst enemy I think the most difficult thing is the 'not knowing' and not letting your thoughts run wild. The endless possibilities that your mind can come up with can just eat you alive. So it is always better knowing what is going on. With a history of behavior you can then possibly progress to having confidence and shelve the insecurity.

Having said that, a little discrete spying is the only way to know for sure. Then of course without going into the realm of being paranoid, maybe we should all act like there is a witness to our acts. Not necessarily changing our decisions but at least making them with the idea of being ready to explain why we made them and ultimately responsible for the consequences.

With my business here in Medellin and all people that know me, I can't get away with anything, someone is always watching!!! Even all my exploits in Cartegena were divulged by various people and got back to my sweetie.

Overall though I think one feels better knowing than wondering a/o thinking the worst. But be discrete as her discovery of your distrust and spying will only add to you problems.

Without getting into a rant I have given up on imports. I brought goods in from Indonesia and China and just could not deal with all the hassels. Just paid off my last fine, about 2 million, to Dian for issues arrising over payment of goods in china by a money transfer from the USA in 2004 and not by credit card that is traceable. It seems that is not allowed. Worse yet that isn't the only fine, and I do mean a penalty type of fine that I have paid and this is on top of the import/customs fees, documentation origination and ultimatly some lawyer fees. Took all the fun and profit out of the game.

This happened to my girlfriend about 1 year ago in Medellin as I reported on PBH then. The taxi driver faked a sneeze and blew something in her face. She didn't go totally out but he relieved her of her money and sat her at a bus stop. Luckily some people came along and helped her, taking her to a hospital. The hospital called our house and all was eventually was well but the memory and fear of what could have transpired lingers still.

MedellinViking comments on anyone can fill me in on any difference between Colombian women from Medellin and lets say Santa Marta, Cartagena?

I think the point of this thread.... Is really to examine the sweeping generalizations. What I have done in the past is to ask the women of one area what they think of the gals from other areas. You really have to ignore the opinion of the men, especially the gringo cassanovas, who tend to think of a specific girl they have known when forming their opinions. But the women will lay it all out for you. While you are asking the ladies don't stop with the in country differences. Make sure to ask what they think of the Argentina/Brasil/Venezuela ladies.

Ceviche mixto for sure! We will do it up right. the best way is always to taste test the recipies! I also make a mean seafood cocktail, mexican style, not with all the sauce.

Strange about ADB's policy. Anyway my house is on the 3rd floor above the club so we can do the cook-off there and then migrate to the club for the judging. Of couse you have to bring your girlfriend for the club but after she samples Strobbers and my ceviche and likes it best, you can't be jealous :))
