maria...the movie...maria full of grace, was filmed in a barrio near bello. i was a guest of a family of sicarios there--before i knew what sicarios were--i had helped one of their young sons and there gratefulness prompted them to enite me to their home. i was inside before i realized where i was. they treated me wonderfully, over and above my fears.

Do you work with a particular foundation to fund raise for the street children? How else are you involved in helping them? I am looking to somehow get involved with helping street children as well.
Thanks!

nataliav -Yes, it is called Hope House of Colombia- or in spanish "Associacion Corazon, Esperanza y Amor". It is a 501(c) non profit organization that helps street children in bogota, with food, shelter, education and a safe have for the kids who had no parents or family to begin with.

Hi Maria,

Thanks for the info/intel about Bogota. But I'm afraid that my only connection with the place is passing through the airport once a year on my way over the mountains. All the very, very best with those kids though. Keep up the good work.

Hi Maria,

thank you so much for contacting me. Any more prayer that i can get is helpul and greatly appreciated. Do you currently live in Bogota? I will be going there in April to take some pics. and interview some of the single moms. Its called Fundacion Talita Cumi. It is on a farm about 1 hour from downtown Bogota. My main subject is the women to help build a home where they can go for a positive transformation, including theyre children. At the same time, sharing God's love and of course giving them an opportunity to accept Jesus as theyre personal savior.
Do any of these kids that you work with have any type of contact with theyre birth moms or "parents?"

Maria, thank you for your posts. I won't say they're wonderful because quite often they're so upsetting but very informative.
