ATM Fees and Exchange rates

I will be traveling to Colombia soon and was wondering about the exchange rates and fees.

I called my Bank about the International fees and was told that every tranfer has a charge of $2.00, and any purchase using a credit card the credit card company (VISA) charges 1.0% of the total amount. And was also told that the local bank in the region may (most likely will) have their own charge for using your card at their own facility.

InterContinental Cali

I see everyone alway brings up this Hotel. I look it up on Yahoo travel and see it is around $140.00 USD a night. How much is the cost if you were to go there and book it at the counter, rather than online. I know when you book it online you are going to pay more. Any info would be great! ...

Areas of Cali

Ok, for my other questions. First of all, I do appreciate any information that is given to me. I need to know what areas or neighborhoods I need to stay away from. Do I stay in the North, South, West, East, or Central part of Cali? Are the bad neighborhoods in certain areas of the city or are there bad areas in various parts of the city. Colombian Food

Ok people, I have some other questions. This one is about the food. First of all I am Mexican and use to the typical home made Mexican dishes, and I have had alot of the traditional Mexican foods that aren't served in restaraunts here (I love Mexican). Cost of Vacationing in Cali

Ok people, I plan on going to Cali hopefully in July. I was wondering the cost of eating, drinking and how much souveneirs would cost? I need to know how much money, I would need to budget on. Cali weather

I am interested in visiting Colombia, but would like to know how the weather is in certain months. If someone can break down the seasons and tell me when the best time to visit is, that would greatly be appreciated. Also I would like to know about the fiestas that are worth checking out.
