Malito71 comments on The Big Lie: Pretty Colombian Girls? I disagree. I went to Medellin and was not that impressed....well it didn't live up to my expectations...but it wasn't bad. But Bogota blew me away. I am married to a Paisa (but she looks Calena) and she even agreed the the girls were hot in Bogota. She wasn't crazy about the guys though. Before Bogota St. Petersburg Russia held the top spot for me...but Bogota took it....AND on top of them being hot they are damn friendly. but to be honest...I live in Miami and all of the really good talent has already been exported to Miami. Miami is a neck snapping city. But most of them are a bunch of stuck up bi....s.

Malito71 comments on I am interested in setting up a business in Medellin....any Suggestions???? Life is a like Vegas.... If you can't afford to lose....don't play. I have no intention of sinking a life savings into a business in Colombia. Like i suggested in my first post we will not be surviving on this business I just want to make a few pesos to pay for some incidentals...I am not dependent on it.

Malito71 comments on I am interested in setting up a business in Medellin....any Suggestions???? robi666....thanks for the words of encouragement...WOW Sounds like we should just say screw Colombia and never invest there. Everybody's situation is different. My wife isn't just off the boat. She has been in NY for 21 years and her relationship with her family would not be classified as a normal Colombian family relationship. anyway....

Malito71 comments on What type of mobile phones can be used in Colombia Not sure about Colombia but Panama uses the 800 gsm band only. Quad band phone will work but tri band that use 900/1800/1900 will not. Most cingular phones are tri band 800/1800/1900 but T-mobile uses the 900/1800/1900. You can do a search online to find out which band is used in Colombia.

Malito71 comments on do colombian men like to be approached? answer from some who understands your question... I am surprised he hasn't made a move on you. Most of my Colombian friends are very aggressive when it comes to getting women. I would say go for it. He just might be the one shy Colombian guy out there.

Malito71 comments on What to do in Medellin? Thanks for the info Sandramoreno80 Forgive my ignorance but I keep hearing about the shopping centers in Medellin, are they like the malls here in the States or are they different? When I was in Panama everybody kept telling me to go to the shopping centers and when I went they were just regular malls, kind of disappointing. I am not very interested in shopping while I am there but if they are the place to go I will go. I will go to some of the other places you mentioned, Thanks.

Malito71 comments on Good reading... Thanks... I read "Killing Pablo" and "The Kings of Cocaine" Kings is one of my favorite books ever. I will check out Walking Ghosts. Another good one is "Inside Colombia- Drugs, Democracy, and War" More of a text book then easy reading though

Malito71 comments on What to do in Medellin? Thanks. Thanks for the information. I didn't mean to compare Medellin to those other cites, just mentioning things to do in them. I know we will be visiting family so I am sure they will be able to guide us in the right direction. I don't mind going to a city just to see and enjoy the city, I went to Santa Cruz, Boliva last year and had a great time just hanging out.

Malito71 comments on Medellin native Juanes rocks packed arena in Miami !! I agee with ColombianoX Juanes was amazing last night. I think Juanes, if not already a legend, will become one. Even though he only sings in Spanish I think he has cross over apeal. My spanish is awful but I still enjoy his music and last nights performance was one of the best concerts I have been to. The pride that Colombians (my Paisa wife included) have for him is very uplifting.
