TO Mrs Gomez TO be honest in some ways you remind me of my colombian wife. She can turn nasty at the drop of a hat. Firstly you decided not to talk to your husbands parents, you gave the reason that they did not help him and did not approve of him being your husband. A mature person would have said well I can see two insecure parents that feel very unsure and fear for his future. Why respond to fear and insecurity of others. You have a daughter and a husband but you allowed your emotions to control you, instead of being human, in effect you allowed your husbands parents to make you go to a lower level. Also your husband could not accept your drunk wild behaviour because when you are drunk you are not in control so he was right to do that, he grounded you because he knew that you were no longer the person you were while in London. I do feel i am picking up a high level of immaturity in you. Basically you ended your marriage because you wanted to go partying all the time. Let me tell you that the world of night clubs and partying leads to absolutely nothing. It is purely superficial and that is what you need to learn. I am not making out that Africans are angels. Terrible thing go on in Africa the same as any where in the world. The Africans live much closer to nature than the south americans. question I have been all over Africa and seen how the villagers live in harmony and generousity to each other and to the total stranger. If they dont have enough food to eat and a stranger comes along they offer half or often more than half to the stranger. This generousity tells you that human nature is basically good. 99% of people want to live properly and fairly just to feel okay within themselves. That is human nature. Society corrupts people from childhood, it misleads them to have beliefs that are not real. Also for people to respect anyone with wealth and reject someone who is a loving caring person is to distort the truth and eventually people fall for the lies society constantly bombards them with. How many times have we sold out to what we know is real and embraced lies. It starts from childhood and goes on through out whole life. Whatever happened to the child that was loving caring and good, he grew up starting to believe in the lies we all did. If the human being one day has a way of embracing what is good and see the lies for what they are we will then live in a real world of love

A few thoughts about what you have said In Britain the British government is obviously corrupt and every government in the world is. what I am saying is the degree of corruption in South America is literarlly 10 times worse. At a high level our politicians may be just as corrupt but they have to make sure they dont do anything too outrageous. They also have to do a certain amount for the people and have to fulfill certain tasks. David Blunkett was sacked because he used his position to get his friends nannny a visa. In Colombia no politician would be sacked for that.
South America has blatant corruption. I think Britain is getting worse especially due to the Iraq war. Lower down the spectrum like the average policeman in Colombia, it does seem that they just dont care about the society they live in. They do next to nothing for people that are victims of crime. The British police have always made an effort and had a certain level of responsibility.
For developed countries to be where they are you need a certain level of responsibility from people on all different levels. Dont get me wrong The developed countries of this world have some absolutely disgusting corruption.
