I disappeared for a few weeks and now it's pretty tough trying to get a laugh on here. Whats happening???
Just looking for anyones opinions or experiences of this Hotel. Staying here for a week in January (yes, my girlfriend got something arranged eventually - see previous rant), I've been told it's a good hotel, although I can't seem to find out much about it on the internet.
Anyone got any pics? ...
Tried to bring this to all of you one year ago, now I can.

Can someone on here explain to me, exactly what the difficulty is in booking a holiday in Colombia.
My girlfriend has been trying to book a holiday through one of the travel agencies in Bogota for over a month now, without success.
Simple, we want to go to Santa Marta for one week starting around the 5th January. Not much to ask for.
The way things happen here in UK (and yes I know Colombia is not the UK, but I need to point this out)
- You go to the travel agency, al ...
Something happens to me when I go to Colombia. I become even better looking. Maybe it's the sun or maybe it's the path I walk paved in Ben Franklins and The Queens Finest Purple Papers.
Right now I am so ugly and pasty, but when I go to Colombia the sun bounces off my baldy, shaved head and sends out a signal in the sky (just like the Batman spotlight) to all the colombianas.
My eyes become even bluer, just like pools of water on a moonlit night and all the girls tell me I am bette ...
The proposal by my friend, her mum and cousin was for me to travel by plane and they would go by bus. This I declined and suggested travelling by the first bus of the day so that we were only travelling in daylight. The compromise which they suggested as they had travelled this way before was to take a taxi as it would be safer for me and is still reasonably inexpensive.
We left Bogota by taxi very early and as the sun is starting to come up and we are heading into the hills one of my fa ...
The reason I ask is because I see many posts on here about 'yes I got this form and now I only need that form to get her to USA or wherever' But I never hear of anyone marrying and then living in Colombia.
Sometimes I think it sounds like its an inanimate object that some people are trying to get to their country and not an actual human being. ...
Well i've just got back from my trip today, it was 32 days in Colombia, 32 of the best days so far in my life.
After travelling home for 18-20 hours and then going for a few beers this afternoon I am feeling a bit spaced.
Just thought I would quickly say that I had an amazing trip and when I can get my head around it, I'll try and put some stories together.
Cheers. ...
I leave soon for Colombia on Dec.12 and have some questions regarding hotel security, not specifically for Colombia but in general.
I am not a experienced traveller so apologies if I sound naive.
1. Is it secure enough when in a hotel to leave my passport, atm cards and camera equipment in a locked rucksack which I plan to lock onto something permanent in the room, radiator, bed etc?
2. I have read somewhere on here not to use room safes but to use main hotel ...
Can anyone help with info on internal flights from Manizales.I have searched the site and can't really find anything.
1)Are there regular flights from Manizales to Cartagena?
2)If so, how regular are they and what would be the recommended amount of days in advance to book the flight?
3)I am hoping to be making this part of my journey around January 7/8 next year, is there a chance of the flights being mostly booked up at this time of year?
Thanks for any advic ...
Whilst reading Scottish newspaper The Daily Record this morning I came across a picture of a can of Colombian drink Petrov - Vodka and Lulo.
This picture had been emailed into the newspaper by a Scottish man just back from Colombia. The reason being that Petrov is also the name of someone who plays football for Scottish team Celtic.
What other exotic alcoholic mixed drinks are available in Colombia already in bottles or cans and has anyone tried this drink Petrov? ...
I'm going to be in Manizales for the first week of next year when this festival takes place.
Just wondered if anyone on here has ever been and what takes place during it.
Hopefully lots of parties!!
Any info on this would be really appreciated. Thanks. ...
My first trip to Colombia is coming up in Dec/Jan and I intend to take Spanish evening classes at Glasgow university. I know there is no way on earth that I will be able to learn Spanish in this time but I reckon that the small amount I can learn will help me a bit and make my visit more enjoyable. I also reckon that it would be disrespectful not to try and learn at least a little Spanish.
I am not just taking the lessons for this one visit. When I first joined PBH a lot of people told me ...
I don't know if anyone on here has heard of Welsh rock band Super Furry Animals, but I recently bought a DVD of theirs called Songbook Volume 1. It has all the videos for their songs on it.
Anyway I'll get to the point, the video for a song called 'DEMONS' was filmed in Colombia.
As I have never been to Colombia yet, this video amazed me. There is footage of beautiful mountains, waterfalls, a large blue villa in the countryside.
It shows footage of Colombian locals going abo ...

I live in Scotland and have been chatting to a Colombian girl on the internet for 6 months now, we have became good friends and she has invited me to Colombia for a holiday, to stay with her family in Bogota.
Since we started chatting I have became really interested in visiting Colombia,it looks like an amazing country.
I have been checking out loads of web sites and this is the one with th ...
