Thanks I have tried the consulate but they informed due to my canadian mothers ignorance of not listing any of my fathers info on my birth certificate I cant use him. No I don't have any family in colombia anymore just some friends but I feel it is very important to teach my children about their roots as well I want to open a restaurant and turn it into a family business and be able to positivly give back to my country.

Sorry to clarfy we are all canadian citizens born in canada and I have sole custody of my chidren my father is a colombian national but his info is not on any of documents and I have never met him
