No, it is not necessary Although it is advisable that you get the vaccine, the staff at the park do not ask you for proof of vaccination. It's just better to be safe than sorry. And if you're not gonna get vaccinated then at least wear a lot of sunscreen and be safe.

everything you said is so true i went to colombia for the first time in five years since i moved here and i will say that parque tayrona was the best experience i've had in my life. maybe its because i realy haven't lived that long but i felt like i was in some undiscovered paradise. and you're right, taganga is great although its very populated with stoners. other than the somewhat intoxicating fumes of weed, the atmosphere was very relaxing. i can also understand why you had so much fun at la puerta. i really wasnt supposed to be in there but i got it and i had tons of fun dancing like there was no tomorrow. i'm glad you had fun and that you're taking the time to explore colombia.
