Layover in Bogota

I'm flying from Houston to Barranquilla in a couple of weeks. I usually fly through Miami and then directly to Barranquilla, but this time will be flying to Bogota and then to Barranquilla.

I get into Bogota at around 10pm (Continental Airlines) and fly out to Barranquilla the next morning on Avianca. Any tips for spending the night in the airport?

I am assuming that I will pass through customs in Bogota instead of Barranquilla...or will they check me again in Bar ...

What are the steps to starting a business in Colombia? I know that a work visa is required, but that doesn't seem to be hard to get for Americans.
