Hey, I saw that you had Lasik surgery done in Colombia and you were talking about Clinica Barraquer. I can't seem to find an official website for the place. Do you know the website or email so I can get more info on this? If you could help that would be awesome. Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for the comment Lost Gringo! I will definitely take you up on your offer the next time I come to Bogota. I'm here all the time and can't get enought of this place! To top it off I haven't even scratched the surface as far as discovering all of the hidden beauty that the cities of Bogota and Cali have let alone the rest of the country! Of course I am not talking about the women, it's very hard to miss them since they are the most beautiful women in the world inside and out in my humble opinion...lol All I need is just one good wife, but it's hard to choose since ther are so many gourgeous women who are willing to treat you like a king!

Hey Lostgringo. Sorry to respond you so late. I haven't been checking this site much as of late, since I have been enrolled in a teaching progran to teach english in Japan. I am sure I would like to return to Medellin in the near future ( maybe after my Japan's contract). By the way, you said that your neighobord are nice to Gringo, but are they nice to Chinese/Panamanian who is Canadian too?? I am sure you wont have that answer.. lol.. How far is sabaneta to centro of medellin?
What is a Skype?

lets keep in touch :)

I read your testimony about Dr. Barraquer and Dr. Afanador.
I am interested in having surgery for my eyesight and also some work done on my face and body.
I contacted a Dr. Julian Morales in Colombia, because I also read the testimony from Vivi about her surgery. Dr. Morales gave me prices as high as if I was doing it here in Miami... That really made me sad. Now I think it's better if we dont tell the doctors we are here because they take advantage of the fact that you have dollars. They think we are all millionaries.
But as I told you before, I read your testimony and I was wondering if maybe you could help me and give me some advise if is better for me to wait until I am in Colombia to get in contact with the Dr. or do it before I travel there. I am going to Bogota on Nov. 23. I really need to fix my eyesight and want to have other things fixed as well.
Could you please contact me to my mail and guide me thru this...?
my email is morochabella2003 at hotmail.com
Thanking you in advance for your help...
Cindy

HI lostgringo!

Just checking in about these apartments in Bogota ... planning on being there in June and am on a budget. Will check out the websites you left on a recent PBH post ... I wont have a car so how close are cultural activites like museums and checking out some of the older parts of town? I see the apartment is close to the US embassy and malls but Im not American and not much of a shopper :)

Thanks!

I've been looking at different stuff in the real estate market hoping to get into it in some way. I'm very much interested in the idea of flipping too. Along with the idea on living with less. I also do a little research on alternative energy (solar mostly). and thought it would be nice to put panels up on a house to either reduce and/or eliminate electric bill. Then there's well for water or rain catchment systems... I ended up finding those too when looking into smaller living.

God Bless America!

Thanks for the compliment LostGringo! We may not agree on everything, but that's no reason for us to not be friends. I look forward to spending time in the Philippines. Please let me know if you're in the country in May.

Just to update all of this. We met in Ermita (Manila). A very nice experience. How would I describe this gal from Houston. Refined, professional and beautiful with a great outlook on life. Yep she has the whole package. Thanks HG for meeting up with me. I am happy to have crossed your path.

P.S. I am still here in the Philippines, but in one of the southern provinces in a city called Dumaguete.
