Gator your a big help Gator, thanks for always responding to my emails, by the way what language is your sayng ("SIC FRIATUR CRUSTUM DULCE. OBESA CANTAVIT.")? Also, I am not adopted so I question how is this going to help my case?

If anyone out there has any advice on my situation I am all ears. I feel like I am the only one in this world who has this problem, I have never heard of anyone else with the same type of problem...Is it possible that a mother can have a baby in Colombia and not register the child in Colombia, how does someone leave the country without this type of document? I don't understand??

I was DENIED I was denied b/c I had a voter's registration card, I did try to become a US Citizen, the US doesn't take owning a Voters card lightly...I never used it and don't recall how I got it, but now I have to wait a mandatory 5 years before I can even re-apply and was also told that marrying an american wouldn't help my case, nothing would only to wait at least 5 years...

I wish it was that easy, problem is I reside in the USA and have been here since 1983 as a permanent resident, I was baptised in the USA - only record I will have w/ Colombia is my birth certificate (to the best of my knowledge). Thank you for your assistance, I really appreciate any advice guven, this has been a real challenge for me..I've been searching for over a year now. Thanks again.

Thanks for your help! Thank you for all your help, I will try that route. Is Colombia behind with their records? Its soooo hard to get someone on the phone that is willing to work with you, it feels like either its siesta all the time, or holiday, or some kind of excuse, it is REALLY tough to get any answers or guidance from anyone - but you have been the most helpful to me, and I really appreciate it.

Belgium-Colombia for PETER Hi Peter, what a small world! I am a belgium citizen but born in Colombia, just the opposite of you - Although I am having BIG time troubles wih locating my birth certificate - where do u reside now? Are you back in Belgium?
