I´ve been in Medellin for five months know and every time I´ve gone to renew my tourist visa I haven´t been charged a penny for it. I went back today for my last renewal ("prorroga de visa de turista") and they told me I had to pay 57.800 COP for it!!! when did the rules changed? I thought that was by law!!! Just went to DAS yesterday in Medellin to extend my tourist visa. Anyway, I´ll save my complaints about their service for later, but what I wanted to let you know in case someone needs it is that if you´re going to extend your tourist visa ("prorroga de visa de turista") you no longer need to pay for it.
