Lchiwawa comments on Where to find Peter Pan peanut butter?

i'm glad im not the only one who's had peanut butter imported in from elsewhere. i just finished my last jar =( the jelly here is also pretty gross. or maybe it's because i always get the cheap stuff.

Lchiwawa comments on Music in Bogota

hah, yes he did ask for classical and jazz and i wouldnt mind finding out more about those as well as i have an open mind when it comes to music. i'm just saying that those genres i mentioned are what i listen to most. as far as classical music i was able to find this: http://www.tuboleta.com/show_type.asp?perf_area=1&perf_code=Clásica the latter half is in bogota.

Lchiwawa comments on video games and systems in colombia

i am video game expert. yes, you'll only be able to play the bootlegs if you get the console modified but that would also have to be done anywhere else, not just colombia. if you were to buy originals from colombia they would work on the console with no problem. you just have to make sure the region of the console matches that of the game. darkangel, you can find a bunch of ps3s and ds' in the san andresito on 38th and 6th. now it won't be as expensive as in retailer stores but still expensive and definitely more expensive that the msrp. but you can always haggle for a lower price.

Lchiwawa comments on Music in Bogota

this thread is relevant to my interests. particularly punk and hardcore music if that even has a following in the city.

Lchiwawa comments on San gil/Macondo latest

i've been wanting to go to san gil for a while now. about how much would it cost me to do pretty much everything shown on that youtube video or everything that you have mentioned as your list of current activities?

Lchiwawa comments on youth in colombia

i totally fall under this category =(

Lchiwawa comments on teenagers in Bogota

i've seen like 8 year olds take the bus by themselves.

Lchiwawa comments on Shipping to colombia (I know, it's been discussed...)

careful with shipping over lcd tvs. my dad had bought 2 tvs to send over to bogota. one made it just fine while the other had a smashed screen and whoever he got to deliver it wouldnt respond for the damage. that was almost two thousand dollars lost right there.

Lchiwawa comments on Immigration scumbag in Miami

when my sis was going back to the states the miami immigration folk had detained her for almost 3 hours because she looked a bit more chub on her resident card than she currently was and was accused of identity theft and a bunch of other crazyness.

Lchiwawa comments on Spirit Airlines service to Cartagena- My Experience.

i was looking up tickets for some friends through them the other day and i came across one from ft. lauderdale to cartagena for only $90. of course that wouldnt benefit me much since i live in bogota. but they could always just take a bus down for maybe another $80 or so and it would still be hella cheap. long and boring but still cheap.

Lchiwawa comments on Paraiso Travel

he gets to the trailer and then the mom takes him to his ex who is now a street hooker. then they go back to the trailer and start fighting and realizes she's not the girl he used to love, not to mention her hotness goes down about 60%. and then the guy goes back to new york to the mexican's doorstep and the movie ends. the movie was really great till it got to the end which just ruined it for me. terrible ending.

Lchiwawa comments on mapquest in colombia

yea, i meant regular ol' busetas. oh well. i usually always get lost when the damn street numbers are nowhere to be found, which i find it to be often.

Lchiwawa comments on Colombia Death Trap Video

that video is such a tease

Lchiwawa comments on mapquest in colombia

this is really useful. now what i really need is some site where you can enter your destination and it'll tell you which bus to take. anyone know if that exists?

Lchiwawa comments on Meet up

Lchiwawa comments on Does anyone know of a good charity that helps gamines?

Lchiwawa comments on Earthquake!

oh nevermind, the time from the posts doesnt match up with the real time.

Lchiwawa comments on Earthquake!

it totally woke me up and ruined my pleasant dreams. i live in the first floor of an apartment building and was hoping i didnt get crushed. the one i felt was only just a few minutes ago though and you guys are posting from over 2 hours ago. how many of them were there?

Lchiwawa comments on new to the board and kinda new to bogota = let's be friends!

yes, i was born in colombia but immediately left so although technically, no it's not my first time in the country it certainly does feel like it.

Lchiwawa comments on new to the board and kinda new to bogota = let's be friends!

i should rephrase: it's not just the city that i'm new to but also first time in the country and heck, even in south america. which is why im a little lost. bill, glad im not the only one. i don't see myself getting rid of my accent any time soon but at least my vocab has improved a bunch. everytime i end up talking to someone for the first time the first thing that comes out of their mouths is usually, "y de donde eres?" haha..it drives me crazy. lauthra, since i was tied down to my job before the only place i was usually seen was at work which is in el centro for 6 hours a day 6 days a week. didnt have time to actually hang about in many places. i want to move around all over the place. today was one of the rare occasions that i was actually able to walk around the downtown area without worrying about rushing back to work on time and there was so much going on that i hadnt realized before. comedians in nearly every corner, mimes all over the place, there was even an afro-colombian parade that was going on. it was pretty cool. i even felt the urge to want to join in but im sure my pastyness wouldnt allow it. there must be so much of this that im missing out on. sorry guys, i'll try to be speedier with my replies from now on!
