I thought it was probably a name that you made up to refer to Chapinero. That's a great name for it! While in Bogotá I spent most of my time around Luna Park and Restrepo because my riends live in those barrios, but I visited Chapinero as well. If I remember right, there's a beautiful church there w/ a large plaza llena de artesanías.

Life decisions...I completely understand you. Colombia is an awesome country..love mi tierra. I am glad that I have been given the opportunity to be working here. I have been here since May and will be going back to Stamford in December. It's been quiet an experience, living the Corporate Colombia..hahaha. I am a Business Manager and work for a company that consults Carrefour in their Private Brands.

I still have family here..lots from my mother side en los Llanos. But miss tremedously mi hermanita, hermano y mi mama. Plus that I've been living in the States since I was like 10..Oops, I think I am giving my age away. jajaja. Anyway, I do get "home" sick once in a while, get kind of tired from living in a Hotel. You know?

I was watching videos of the march on yourtube...and I was surpised that Colombian students all over held a march in their Universities...some videos it was about 20 people...but they stood there, with their signs, colors, hearts, asnd dedication....

Thanks for wanting my imput; in my little world I would love to edit them all and organize them in categories...BUT i figured we already made the post so long- what are a few more hundred pictures? There are some people who have taken the time to see the pictures...I feel we should just keep it in the same thread...almost everyone has a fast internet connection....and if someone really has the desire to see what is in that thread, to learn about their own hostory, or the wonderful history/events of Colombia they will click on it and wait patiently...no?

May I make a suggestion, after you come back from your thesis, the fruit section could be deleted, once you have deleted the fruits the thread will be much faster to see, besides we are missing many of the popular fruits there, i.e., tamarindo, mango, ciruelas and several more.

I was thiking LC you can resize the pictures? I can even help you? That way they wont be as big and it can move faster? I tried doing that with my pictures...I had to resize a lot...
