Lodgings wanted in Cali........

I will have to stay in Cali from August 16 th for a month in order to attend a course . I am looking for someone that has a room or something for rent for minimal cost .I am an English guy that lives in Pereira ,my needs are simple and I will be away from the place in the daytime ,also I will probably return to Pereira at the weekends. Bogota motel......but not for what you are thinking !!!

I will arrive back in bogota about 11pm and I have a flight to my beloved Pereira at 6am the following day , so I was thinking a motel would be a good option to paying the inflated prices at the hotels around bogota airport( now the Capital wants 300 mil !!!! ). In Pereira thay are numerous with jacuzzi and other comforts for around 50 mil for 5 hours.......good value againts 300 mil. If anyone has the details of a motel close to airport I would be grateful. ...

Current visa info,

I have a 12 month visa for " actividades independientes " which I need to re-new July 2nd. Is it best to renew the visa here ( I am in England to the end of the month ) or in Bogota when I return . I live a long way from London and I don't want to go there if I don't have to. Other question , how long before the expiry date can I renew the visa . I was going to stop at Bogota to renew it when I return end of May but after the experience of a mate of mine recently , he was there a wee ...

Concerts in Colombia.........an invitation !!!

I am an english guy living in Pereira for about 18 months who loves to go to music concerts in various cities in Colombia. I have been to Cali,Medellin,Bogota and here around the eje de cafeteria . But after a experience en Medellin when I was at a concert of Adventura es que I could not see more or less nothing ( I bought tickets platium ,for what that was worth ) . I wonder if there are others like me who would like to see concerts from the " pacao "(sp ? ) section , normally these tickets ...

I have been living in Pereira since Octuber and will stay in Colombia until they drag me out screaming !!!....
I have had to learn very quickly the difference between persons whom want only to be friendly and welcoming and the other's whom only want what they can get from me.
I have had to stop seeing various personas whom turned out to be interesados/as.
Now I have another wing man now who plays on being spanish.( estamos extranejos )..talks with the thhhh sound etc, says ...

I am returning to pereira in jan' after xmas in the u.k and have rented a 2 bedroom penthouse for 12 months so I have a spare bedroom with bathroom available for short term stays .

hi....Arriving Octuber in Colombia for 8 months in a effort to try to get some comprehension going ....I have a appointment with a well recommended plastic surgeon but I have to pay a fee of about $50 for the consultation.
Is this normal or a gringo tax..?
I have been subjected to many of these types of "taxes" over the years in central and south america.

Just returned to u.k from three weeks in Panama /Bogota ( brrrrrrrrr not exactly Cartagena ) where I had lasik surgery / met a stunning amiga / spent a fortune ( linked to stunning amiga) but have to tell of sequence within 24 hours of arriving in Bogota.

Trying to get info about suitable bank in Panama .Tried Citibank but no personal accounts in Panama yet.

Well I have finally got enough info about wavefront eye surgery to be able to make a decision as to where to have the operacion performed.

Costs are very similar so I would like some opinions on which city they would visit.

Wavering about having lasek( not lasik)surgery in Bogota or Cali en March when I am returning to Colombia for a month.

I have spoken to clinics and have prices of around $800 to $900 for both eyes.
These prices are around 30% of the costs in u.k...
...but can anyone give me any feedback about their own or of someone very close experiences regarding this type of procedure.

Anyone got any comments /thoughts about whether property prices are rising /falling /leveling off in colombia( or specifically cartagena)..........I looking to invest in colombia o panama on pre-construction apartments......panama has some good incentives to attract inward investment but but I visit colombia much more.......any info would be welcome ...

After extensive research and much surfing of net I have booked a holiday break of 10 days in Cartagena for my friend and me specifically to be there during the beauty contest .
There is only one problem ,I have got the dates wrong and now we are locked into some work in Nicaragua so unable to change dates, somehow I have arranged to be leaving Colombia the day the contest starts ( 5/11/05)....don't ask how !!!

I don't really know if this is the place for this request but as I am unable to locate any decent info ,I will give it a shot.
I am looking for recommendations and/or contact info for plastic surgeons de cerca Cartagena .
This is only to remove a small harmless growth ( this reminds me of a horror movie) clinging to my shoulder ,just about where a dancing partner normally places their hand.
