Ive been studying for a while and im about an intermediate level. So I turn on the some Spanish radio today and I didnt understand a word. Where are some good places to hang out in Medellin besides Poblado?

Im planning on taking some classes at EAFIT which I know is located in Poblado. Ive done some reading on it and talked to some people that have been there, and everyone is saying how arrogant and stuck up everyone in poblado is and how they dont associate with anyone outside their bubble. Another guy said that you cant really try and make friends with the poorer people (people who live outside of Poblado) because they might take advantage of you. Is there any truth to all this? Better place to study Spanish: Bogota or Medellin?

Which city and school would you recommend? Ive already seen nuevalengua and its a bit pricey. Also, which city if better in terms or things to do, scenery, nightlife, safety, etc?
