Back From Bogota!

Hey Guys!

I'm back!
Wow did i EVER HAVE A GOOD FUCKING TIME!.

The city is sooo huge, you could never see it all in like 100 years! All the people are so nice, smiling and waving. The woman, *phew*, i'm still sweating! :-)

I told all my friends to forget everything they ever heard on the news and jump on the next plane to this wonderful country!

Although, I am quite nervous.. I expect this feeling to vanish after 1 night or so..

Weather - July -Bogota?

I was searching wunderground.com and it seems over past few years, the weather for Bogota in July is flip a coin, rain or cloudy with sunny breaks.

Food/Candy that Colombia does NOT have...

I am just wondering some things that I could bring from Canada that my Colombian friend would enjoy, like certain candy or potato chips and such.

I would ask her, but spoil the surprise hehe.
I sent her some Tropical Kool-Aid juice and she fell in love with it so..

There is candy like choclate "Smarties" that they don't even have in the U.S

Daily Spending , Bogota.

Hola Amigos,,

I am traveling to colombia soon, from Canada.
My friend let me know that 100,000.00 pesos per day is all I will need, on average.

Not including hotel. I already have that seperate

100,000.00 is like.. 40$ US or something.

Does this mean, just for food and Taxi's? Or does this mean If I would like to have a few drinks or maybe put in a movie.

Also, average drink prices in an average Zona Rosa bar.

I FRIGGIN HOPE NOT!!

Altitude Sickness.

Im wondering if this affects everyone who goes to Bogota, I live in canada, right on the water. And bogota is like 3000meters above sea level so ... I just hope to not get sick.

I drink fair bit and smoke weed , so im used to oxygen cut from my brain. Hopefully I will not get sick...

Hostals Bogota

Hey amigos,

I decided I shall stay in a Hostal instead of a hotel [wow..bogota hotel are more expensive then Canadian/American 5 star]

Its the best idea because I will be traveling about and only be there to sleep and maybe eat a little bit. Platypus looks very boring.. and not clean.

I see http://www.lacasonadelpatio.net/ and its like 10 blocks from Park 93 and clubs so this seems cool.
Plus you can have Private room and bath.

Pablo VI Hotels??

I am interested in a hotel [aprtment studio would be better] for 10 days, starting July10th.

My friend from COlombia gave me address to a cheap one, which looks good but is like 30 min bus ride from her.

she lives with parents and they'd rather I stay at a hotel then in her room haha.

I am going to visit my friend in July (bogota) and we are thinking about going to visit San Andres (She has been there 2 time before).
Since it's my treat when I visit, how much does it cost for a 1 week all inclusive trip for 2 to San Andres. (Decameron Resort preferably.)

Travel To Meet Colombian Friend. (Bogota)

I am a 21 yr old Canadian, and i'm going to Bogota in June to visit my friend.
