It would seem that immigration canada is easing up a bit on restrictions placed for visa,s to canada.Ive brought a few forien workers from colombia to canada for work with my business and was worried they might not recieve a work visa. The last worker who will arrive here in canada july 16th was single and while she has family in colombia she has no other real financial ties that would ensure she will return to colombia when her visa exspires. It was not requested that she show any proof of finaci ...
well...after 20 questions my wife(pr canadin) and i can now visit and fly through u.s. air space...took about 4 months to book an apointment with the u.s. embassy in calgary and a special trip there ...and 150 can bucks..so she could travel through the u.s. As she had a canadian husband and canadian daughter i suppose they finally figured she was not a threat with her colombian passport. Also managed to obtain a work visa to canada for a colombian friend of my wife for work in my business...th ...
Ive been trying to get a transit visa for my pr resident colombian wife so we can fly through the u.s. when traveling to colombia and its next to impossible.Unlike an american immigrant pr who can come and go as they please to canada a canadian pr needs a special transit or visiters visa to fly through or visit the u.s. Getting a transit visa requires making an apointment and going in person to one of the embassys.. the nearest one bieng calgary 6 hours away for me. You need to book your appoi ...

Dicovered this out the hard way.I phoned American airlines back in oct/07 while booking flights and asked if my colombian wife needed anything other than her canadian pr visa to go through the u.s.After a 45 minite wait on hold to get an answer i was told she was good to go.I even asked..are you sure?? i don,t want any problems at the airport.Leaving edmonton canada yesterday we got as far as u.s. customs and were told she needs a transit visa...talk about pissed off.Had i known i had lots of ti ...
Just watched a show on TV here in canada about people locked up in prizons in forien countrys. Some of them have not even had the benifit of a trial. The canadian goverment and embassys are totally useless and provide zero help...not even a visit or investigation. And of those convicted manny convicted with bogus or no proof.Even after knowing of canadians bieng held in forien prizons(without charges) for as long as two years...and knowing that torture was involved..such as bieng stripped and beat ...

I was wondering if anyone has had any exsperience or been in a similar situation traveling....how much of a problem is it to get her a transit visa?...cost?..time frame to obtain it...can she get a multiple entry visa for future visits over the next couple years...or will we have to reapply each trip....she will be a canadian in two and years and at that time we will get her a canadian passport.I would hope it would,nt be to much trouble to travel through and stop for a night in the u.s.....its ...
My wife is colombian and is in canada and has a PR visa.In two years she can apply for canadian citizenship.Im wondering if we have a child which is born in canada if we can also register that child as a colombian citizen...after all the mother is colombian. The child would recieve a canadian birth certificate and automatically be canadian...even while the mother is still considered colombian.Or would the fact that that child was born in canada mean that it would have to go the same route as me ( ...
A cnn reported was posted and doing news coverage just outside of jeruslem.A creature of habit she would most days have breakfast and dinner on a little patio cafe at the hotel where she was staying.Across the street there was huge ancient wall with a sign proclaiming it to be the holy wall of wailing.Everyday she noticed an old man, half crippled up who made a daily trek to the wall and would spend hour upon hour praying.Eventually curiousity got the best of her and she decided to approach the o ...

A glorious day...was down here in BQ spending time with my wife and all set to return home to Cannada tomorrow (alone)...when holy crap her passport arrived with her visa..
Now i can,t wait to see the look in her eyes when she see,s how different it is from colombia. It will be a whole other world.I just want to watch the expressions in her eyes.
