jessicam comments on Cost of University? More Specifics Thanks for the great information so far. To answer Gator's request for more specifics, basically I am thinking about encouraging one of my young relatives that graduated from public high school a couple of years ago to go to University, and maybe help out with tution. But they don't have that much money and before I went down this road I wanted to know what I might be suggesting $ wise. Bogotá I mentioned specifically since it is only an hour or so bus ride from where they live. I'm not that picky on what Uni, cheap is good, but would like it decent enough that it would be equivalent enough to US that it would work to get a job here in the US after graduation, if desired.

jessicam comments on Colombian Passports for Colombians? Where does a Colombian get a passport in Bogotá? So where in Bogotá does a Colombian go to get a Colombian passport? Also, what is the fee and what paperwork do they need to bring? (I tried the link that was posted that proably has this info but that page isn't up anymore.) Thanks much!

jessicam comments on Does Foto Japon upload photos? Thanks, now for a decent cafe... Thanks for the suggestions. Getting a USB card reader to make uploading at an internet cafe easy is a good idea. Also, like someone said I only need one person to learn how to upload. Resizing I think would be a bit much since only two people have ever used a computer and they just learned how to email a few months ago, but I could probably teach them how to use an easy site like MSN spaces that does the resizing for you. However, where they live (about 1.5 hours north of Bogotá) the internet speed sucks in all the cafes, I can barely stand to use it for emailing and can't imagine how trying to upload photos would be. But I could tell them to come to a internet cafe in Bogotá for uploading.
