jai comments on Bay Area MeetUp (California) for June 2007

Shame on the rest.... only three have signed up for this meetup! I am a little perplexed as to what so few people signed up. I mean - most of you folks do put in time, effort and thought to write stuff consistently at this site. I just read, but I did sign up for the event.
Miguel Clavo -- he put in effort and passion to organize a meeting in San Francisco (good location). After El Majahual, we all can slide our butts and go to El Rio ...it is close by.
Come on ..... don't be a bunch of pussies - mark the day in your calendar and click that meetup link.
Suggestion to Miguel : perhaps meeting at Majahual at 8:30 would work better for most folks - they can do the 4 S's and then come to SF when there is no traffic.
First round of drinks is on Miguel, second on me. Any takers for the next single digit (sarcastic remark) positions ? I will the take all the double digit positions (11, 12,..) if we ever reach that number (only for bloggers on this post (friends, etc excluded)).
BTW, something about me : I am Indian (as from India). Have been to Colombia 12 or 13 times. Love you guys 'n gals posts.
Let's see how many turn up !

Colombian restaurant in San Francisco There is one on Valencia street in the Mission district :

BTW, they have Salvadorean menu also and Colombiano menu. A review about it : http://sanfrancisco.citysearch.com/review/889448
The owner is Colombian and the lady is Salvadorean.
Have a great time in one of the 3 cities in the world I love (Bogota, San Francisco & Bombay)! :)

jai comments on dentist

RE: dentist The price would depend on the place and the stuff that needs to be done. But do get it done in Colombia since it is a lot lot cheaper than here in the US and the quality of the work is equivalent ....in fact they would put more time and effort into it. I always get my teeth cleaned when I am in Colombia and in December I had major teeth cleaning done and there was some minor cavity work for 2 teeth. The dentist did a good job at it and she spent around 1 hr 45 mins on the job. It cost me 105 mil pesos which at the present rate of exchange would be about 46 $. Same amount of work that she did would cost me anywhere above $500 or maybe $1000.
I think about it like my pricey last minute ticket was (nearly) free! :)
