Hello All! Only a few more days until I am in Colombia!! I will be in Cartagena and want to go Santa Marta side and go up to Ciudad Perdida. Any ideas where we will go to get a group/guide? How long will the hike up and down take? Any safety issues? Any info muchly appreciated! Island ...
So I will be in San Andres and then in Cartagena and then who knows :) So I was thinking I could buy a Colombian SIM card for my GSM phome and avoid ridiculous roaming charges ... in Honduras and Egypt I got a local phone chip and then just bought pay as you go phone cards. Is this possible in Colombia? Can I buy a SIM in say, San Andres and have it for the duration of my trip around Colombia? any info appreciated ... muchas gracias! ...

I am presenting a paper at a conference in San Andres, its being held at a big hotel there and the organizers recommend we stay there etc.....trouble is it is expensive and I may have never read such bad reviews of a place on tripadvisor.com ....
