Hi Guys!!
2 weeks ago, Angelica gave birth to our new daughter, Sara Sofia. She weighed in at a whopping 6.7 lbs, and now weighs 7.9 lbs (mostly in her cheeks).
She is healthy, perfect and beautiful, just like mommy.
We are fine, loving our life and having a great time.
BTW, her mother just got her visa to come visit. It is a tourist visa, and we included a letter from the Hospital/doctor that it would be a good idea if she were allo ...

Just a quick note to say hi, and to let you all know that Angelica and Danny have been here 8 months now, we are still in love and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Guess what? we are having a baby. A little girl, due in November. I love her more each day. She is working part time, and it cost me more to take her to her job and pick her up, but she loves having a job.
Danny can already read english. It took me about a month to teach him, now he jus ...
Hi all.
I just saw this movie last night, after seeing mention of it on this forum. It is really very good. I can understand spanish, so I had the english subtext on and listened to the director talk about the movie.
I can't think of any movie in recent history that showed the plight of an immigrant girl in this way.
Did anyone ever see A Thousand Pieces of Gold? ...
i lost alot of weight and when I laugh, my belly shakes. what up with that?
Hey Peter,
I know this is a bit self-serving because my future wife is coming to the U.S., but since you have a great thing started here, I was wondering if it would be possible to begin a new forum. One related to actual relationships, on-going or past with a Colombian(a).
This forum is probably specific to only a few, so maybe a passworded type of forum? where someone has to ask you or your moderators for permission to access?
There are some peo ...
Hi guys..
I received this message from another reader. A Colombian lady who lives in the UK, apparently, and had some questions that I dont really have the answer to. I left out her name, since I am not sure how she feels about my posting this. I am pretty sure she will say hi when she is ready.

Bueno, si no alitas, entonces empanadas! ...
Angelica and I are talking about the possiblity of leaving her son with her mother a couple months while she comes here and gets situated (we are talking long and hard about this, it isnt easy for her to decide and I dont want to make that decision for her).
I am not sure how hard it would be for me to go and get him, since I am not the father.
I THINK I read somewhere that if she returns to Colombia and we arent married, she cant come back..
however ...
This gentleman is extremely reliable, very friendly and reasonable. I think he cost us about 13,000 pesos per hour and we used him about 4 hours a day or so. sometimes more. I even called him and asked him to meet a friend at the airport for me, and take him to a hotel.
He found my friend a nice one near the airport and went to get him early the next morning.
If you use him, tell him that you were recommended him by the Gringo Isaac from Houston Texas. Good luck ...
Anyone else have pictures posted in their albums? I would like to see more pictures of Colombia, and of the people who post. I went looking for some the other night and found very few.
I understand that there are fees for her appt to the embassy as well as a doctor exam. I think I read that there is no exam for a child in her company, but I am unclear if I have to pay $100US for him to attend the appointment or if he is considered accompanying the mother.
any ideas? ...
After speaking to a wonderful woman for almost 2 months (mostly by phone at the end), I decided to pay her a visit.
I was wary at first, not having traveled in a very long time and worried for my safety. Researching as much as I could about Colombia before actually going, I realized that much of the warnings were generalized and decided to go, if not cautiously.
Although I can speak spanish fairly fluently.. I was pegged as an american in an instant. Realizing I would never meld ...
