A fantastic fort and old city make this another travelers dream destination.
The rikshaw drivers will hassle you here as well. If you make a reservation, most hotels can pick you up, or you can just go to the clock tower in town and find your hotel yourself from there. There are plenty of hostels in the old town, and if you're looking for mid-range places you'll find them too.
There are flights to Delhi and Mumbai. Buses to Jaisalmer take 6 hours, Udaipur takes 6 hours as well, Jaipur 8 hours, Ajmer 5 hours, Delhi 14 hours. There's a train station too.
