Terrorist attack in Mumbai

There was a terror attack just announced in Mumbai, so just be careful if you are going to be in the area. Apparently, there have been threats of a terror attack within the last 24 hours. So far 80 people are reported dead and some people might have been taken hostage including many foreigners

So there's for staying in a fancy hotel. The taj hotel charges like 500 US$/night! Seems to have something to do with the EU-India summit?

Best not to be a target and stay at big hotels here. I sent Peter an email during the evening when the news started to make headlines. I learned about what was going on through phone calls from local colleagues telling me to stay in my apartment.

Security should be heightened by the time Peter gets here....much like it was in the US after 9/11. Ahhh...the joys of being a world traveler!
