I had stayed in Tocarema hotel. Clean , chip -55000 per night- but rooms without windows...only aircondition. If you like pasta there is an unexpected nice italian restaurant with Italian owner named Pietro.. nice original italian food and a variety of wines...and espresso cafe.....At Centro Comercial Alamedas.

I was in Laguito Beach Cartagena last February and the northen Carribean wind filled away the sails as well. This season the direction of the wind has changed and i dont think that u gonna enjoy it.

Dont deal with guys that offer daily trips for isla de rosario on the main street of Laguito. Last month we rent a lancha for isla de rosario y playa blanca. We dealed for 300 pesos. When we returned back they asked us to pay 300 pesos more ,as they said the deal was 300 in advance and the rest at our ....return- it was the first time in my life that i heard something like that for a daily trip- . As you understand the things becamed a little..rough , the argy-bargy unavoidble...as a result the police station in Bocagrande for all of us, talking to kind officer who was....agreed with all of us too...them and us.... What ever CARTAGENA IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES YOU CAN BE....ENJOY IT. I wish could be there....

Hi Mark, One friend Monteriana, told me for Hotel Alcazar as clean chip and decent one. I m planning to be there also next month. As much i ve heard , Monteria maybe is the safiest city in Colombia. But i never been there my self and i dont have personal opion. Have a nice time.

A jurney from the airport to laguito is 12000. From Laguito to Cuidad Vieja was 5000 last June. Last February was 4000. Be careful with the taxisdrivers when its raining, they charge double. A jurney from Laguito to Los Alpes is 10000. And CUIDATE, if you stop for withdraw at bank machine and the after 1 min you return at lo mismo taxi its possible to ask you to pay a new jurney.
